TTC for 1 year now, what to do??

Hi girls,

After 4 crappy pregnancies (1 EUG, 1 baby girl still born after 23 weeks and 2 m/c) in the period Oct 2009 and Feb 2011 (see signature) we have been TTC for over a year now, but I'm (still) not pregnant .................. I had 5 pregnancies and everytime I got pregnant in the first month of trying even after one overy was removed after my EUG.

What is going on?? I've been to the doctor on the 14th of March, he made an u/s and everything looked just fine. I was also tested for fungal infections etc but nothing came up. On the 24th of April I have a procedure schedualed for a X-ray photo of my uturus, with liquid that lights up on the X-ray.

But what if the X-ray doesn't show anything?? What can I do ......

Sorry to hear things are still not working out. I too had that X-ray with the dye in my uterus, and it showed nothing odd for me. They are looking for blocked fallopian tubes or fibroids in the uterus, or an odd shaped uterus. The next step after that my OB told me was to get a Laparoscopy to look for endometriosis or go straight to IUI/IVF. He also had me start on Clomid every second month. I chose the Laparoscopy and they did find some mild endometriosis, and cleared it out, and I got pregnant 2 months after that. And that was after 2 years of TTC. So if your X-Ray shows nothing, I would say the Lap could be a good next step, maybe try clomid too? I had no symptoms of endometriosis, and it was mild, and I have heard it can come about as you get older, and after having previous children.

We tried for 34 months to get pregnant with #4, we used Clomid, used injectibles with an IUI 4 times, nothing worked, finally I asked my ob about the dye test to check my tubes and what not, just because nothing else was helping, they didn't find anything at all, but two weeks later, I got pregnant. I've heard alot of woman get pregnant after having the test, even if it doesn't show blocked tubes or anything it does help. Good luck.

That's true! I forgot about that, my OB told me the same thing. I guess it just "cleans" things out sometimes.

I've heard the same thing. I hope this works for you! It's such a difficulft waiting game, while trying to get pregnant, then if it works, hoping and praying it sticks. Thinking of you!
