I had to do a google search, but came across someone saying this on another forum.

"Ok, I actually have talked to someone who did Urobiologics and while it is more in depth than a pH test (they are actually measuring hormones and not just pH) it is still a scam and a huge waste of money because their claim is that you alternate between boy cycles and girl cycles every other month (completely untrue) and if you get the "wrong" result, they actually TELL you that you cannot EVER conceive a child of your DG! The lady I talked to was seriously depressed because the doctor told her she had no chance of ever conceiving a daughter because she had two "high testosterone" results in a row and if she did conceive a daughter, it would die before it was born or be a lesbian (!)

I had forgotten about these guys, thx for reminding me!!!"

I think I wrote in this thread?

I paid $275 for the post gender test. I had to ship a urine sample to the other side of the world. Result came back as BOY.... 5 ultrasounds have confirmed I am having a baby girl.

Intelligender was also wrong for me.

Dont trust any of these tests. They are scams. they have a 50/50 chance of getting it right... I believe Urobiologics offer a refund and I will be requesting this once bub is born.

the urobiologics test is a worry because they claim they can test the baby's gender from 5 weeks and you can easily have an abortion up to 12 weeks. Clearly they are not close to 100% so I hate to think that anyone would have an abortion based on the result of this test.

Honeyrose, I just read all of your posts and was shocked that you got an inaccurate result from urobiologics. Surprises happen. This thread was about their pregender test so I hopped in. Just this week they announced a double refund if you do not get the baby you planned for. There must be some truth to it. We are getting in a mood to use their pregender service but with support from IUI because we have a severe conception problem. The pregender test will guide me to get IUI in a girl cycle as we are planning for a girl this time. Have you talked to them for a refund? They better pay you back. aprilentice

I do not think tests like this are accurate. I hope you get your refund Honeyrose but I have heard people having issues getting their money back from other companies offering a supposed money back guarantee. That is shocking that they told someone they could not conceive their DG.

How can they say to someone that they could not conceive their girl? That would be unprofessional. I think that is some mis-information being spread about this company. They usually give everything in writing and I have around 100 emails, none of them have any distasteful statement. There is no logic to it.

I've had no personal experience with the company. I'm going with the post above. Unfortunately the nature of the internet does mean that people can spread information about a company if they so choose. Likewise this could have been someone's personal experience. I would be reluctant to pay money for a service like this that does not have success for everyone (even if they do offer a refund). That is not to say there is not some science in it, I don't know. It is great that you have had a good communication from this company but that is not to say that someone who has had a negative experience is lying about it. Having just had a brief google of urobiologics, I can't see much reviews about them good or bad, which I find quite odd. I'd love to know how you get on aprilentice :-) All the best in your quest for a baby girl.

Thanks Waiting4Daisy for your good wishes. You are right in that when doing search for Urobiologics you do not find much about it. The reason I was told by them is that their customers are mostly Asians and they get busy once they get their stuff. Most of them either do not have computers or do not know how to use them, forget about posting at forums. I was apalled to see one poster here 'HONEYROSE' who got incorrect report from them and has posted at several places. The new reader obviously gets a negative impression about it. I know this company for the past several years and am confident about their science and success. Only last week my DH whispered that he is thinking of another baby and this time a girl. You can realize stars in my eyes, particularly looking at family agreement, availability of right technology and most importantly DH's willingness to go for IUI. Both of us do not like IVF as that is total rip-off. So the very next morning I called Urobiologics and they were glad to hear from me after a long time and almost guaranteed that I will get a girl if i do not mix the PreGender attempt with any diet plans or moon theories. It is then they revealed their plan to announce a double refund to any couple if they do not get the baby of their choice. They have announced it now and their website also shows the fees for tests charged and amounts of double refund payable if the couple does not get the baby they tried for. This is a minimum risk option to me. Considering 90% success rate, double refunding other 10% would not kill the company, and the customer also is not put to great financial pressure. I hope they keep this option open for long. We are at an idea stage right now. It will take two month to see what my system shows and then we go for IUI in a specific cycles suggested by them. Then there are ego issues at IUI fertility clinics. They do not want customer to advise them in which month to do IUI. There is some game to play. Your ID suggests you are also trying to get a girl. There is no harm in at least talking to or sending an email to this company. See and realize where they are and then go from there.

The reason I have posted my comments about Urobiologics is I want readers to be aware that they DID get my result wrong. I've had 6 ultrasounds to prove this.ALL clearly indicating I am having a girl baby. According to their refund policy you have to provide a birth certificate. I am having my baby on Thursday so I will confirm this with them after her arrival. I will update everyone whether I get my refund.

In the emails they sent me, I questioned how accurate their test was and they claimed about 95%. They claimed it was accurate from 5 weeks. I did the test at 6 weeks.
I would never waste money on an internet test again and I am hoping my experience will guide others in their decision.

You may be right. You may be right, honey. If your result went wrong, that is not the end of world. I know this company for about 7 years now and believe this is a genuine company doing great work for women. One wrong result here and there is not going to kill the truth. You may understand how uphill task is to develop something. Try to look at the facts they are bringing forward. The things they are telling are happening in your body right now. Old posters know they have even donated money to needy on this board. They are not to keep your money, trust me. I have written on several topics and have sided with many good things like moon theory, Ramzi's work. I also have brought forward eye opening facts about other companies as well. I have tried to stay very neutral. You are relatively new to this board and can't see this. Pl excuse me, you got my temper raised.

okay whatever.... People will judge for themselves I guess. I have just provided my personal experience which is all I can do. I know I found this handy when I was researching various companies when TTCing but never found any comments, negative or positive about Urobiologics anywhere. People do have the right to know, that they do get their results wrong.
