Sorry, I can't post this in the right place.. hoping that someone who has experience with this can help?
I just got a call from my OB.. I am still waiting to see if I have complete placenta previa.. I'll be 28 weeks and getting an ultrasound on Monday.. but now they are informing me that my blood platelet count is really low.. I'm kind of freaking out here.. I mean, that means I run the risk of blood clotting, right? And if my placenta hasn't moved I'm automatically required to have a c-section.. isn't that super dangerous if my blood could start clotting?
I"m kind of freaking out, and my dr's office is by far the worst when it comes to communicating risks or conditions etc.
I'm trying not to think too much about the placenta thing, but this has really thrown me now. I had vaginal deliveries with my first 2 sons. My first was super risky, they actually replaced the fluid through an iv bag so I could deliver him and not have a c-section.. we were just really lucky the dr. worked with us and didn't push the c section, but it was super risky.. with my second it was easy breezy.. I just never imagined having all these complications suddenly..
all of this is so what I didn't imagine.. Has anyone had this, and did everything turn out okay? The nurse said a dr. will call me but not until tomorrow.. I'm not finding much helpful information online and I don't want to freak myself out any more..
thanks!!
