Hi everyone! This is a trans vaginal ultrasound that was taken at 7weeks and 4 days. (Dont mind the date their machine said 05??) This will be our 3rd baby.  We have a 7yr old boy, and a 7 month old boy.  Im thinking this one is going to be a boy as well, but everyone wants a girl so bad they refuse to listen to me! (LOL bc mommy's just know!)  I'd love to get your thoughts as well.  Is it going to be Baby boy 3.0? Or are we team Pink this time?

I would actually say TEAM PINK!  When's your next ultrasound? Make sure you get nub shot!  LOL  Those are more accurate than the Ramzi theory.

Good Luck!

Next US is going to be March 6th when Ill be 12 weeks and 3 days.  Im going to a military hospital and they get stingy sometimes with the pictures. I dont know if shell give me a nub shot if she knows Im fishing for gender.  What is the 'perfect' shot and how do you suggest I ask for it? I think theres just so much liability being a military hospital they are tight lipped... :-/

I would suggest you look at loads of nub shots on here in the ultrasound forum, oncl the confirmed boy/girl nub section. Then you look at lots of videos on youtube of 12 week scans.... so by the time you go for your scan, you will be able to tell yourself. My experience is that OBs that are not familiar with early gender determination are not particularly helpful either :(

So one more question!  There is a FABULOUS ultrasound place here in Hawaii that will see you whenever you want and will play around and get you any and every shot you want. They say (15+weeks) they have never been wrong with gender once. (I was 15 and 0 when they told me boy for my son!).  Anywho--my question is...when I go tomorrow I will be 9 weeks and 1 day (with the baby probably measuring a few days early bc I think they are wrong about my due date but only by a few days) but is 9 weeks anything too far along to check Ramzi Theory? I know its not any where far enough along for the nub shot, but are we still in the Ramzi window?

yes, 9 weeks is fine. They should do a doppler to make sure where exactly the placenta is attached as its not that easy to tell xxx

Are you / were you still breastfeeding your 7 month old when you got pregant? If so, apparently breast feeding is supposed to help sway girl, espcially if your nursling is still very young (which in your case he is)

I don't know I was nursing my 9 month old exclusively (other then a few solids he had started) and had conceived DS2. I think 9 weeks misses the Ramzi theory, no? We were ttc with DS2.. not sure if you were this time, but maybe that's why we had a boy.. we dtd I think every other day around O then. Got pregnant first month of trying..

Alright ladies!  I just had this done today by an AMAZING ultrasound tech at our local 3D4D u/s place where I live.  Im 9 weeks and 1 day. This is an abdominal scan, and the tech did confirm that when looking at the left, it is my right, and vise versa.  I went in to see what she thought about this whole 'Ramzi' theory thing, (Im slightly obsessed I can't lie) and this is what we got. A POSTERIOR PLACENTA!  Of course we did! Not left or righ!  I know it has to fall to one direction or the other and she seems to think it falls SLIGHTLY left.  I know the color flow (to me) looks all the way to the right (my right, the pictures left) but what do I know. She's the expert.  Any thoughts. We'd love to know. I got her interested as well.  I figured Id post on here to see what other techs thought. Im going to post the 2 or 3 that looked the best. Thank you so much in advance. We are anxious to see what you guys come up with!

Eventhough your placenta is posterior it will still be left OR right. A placenta can be anterior or posterior (or praevia, which luckily yours isnt). A health professional usually only monitores anterior or posterior as s/he needs to exclude a placenta praevia. It is not important whetehr the placenta is left or right from a health perspective. Can you call them and asap and ask the Tech if he remembers if yours was left or right? They might save the picsor possibly even films xx

From your first pic, I would have guessed boy. There seems to be some confusion or disagreement about whether a transvaginal u/s is flipped or not. From what I have read on here, you assume it is a mirror image and therefore the left of the image is your right and vice versa. The only way to be sure though is to ask your tech at the time of the appt how they they do it in your office.

No it's not transvaginal. It's abdominal. That's why I know it's flipped. And I mentioned in the post what she thought about it being left or right. She seems to think its more posterior left...?
