I have had pinkish brown spotting and mild cramping.  Do you think it is from the exam or can it mean that things might be finally progressing?

I'm still here too but havn't be able to log on for some reason for the last few days?????

I'll only be 38 weeks tomorrow so still ages to go. My boys are on school holidays until tuesday and that has helped the time pass for the past two weeks so I'm not in too much of a rush. hink I would like a few days after they are back to get back on top of the house and then a few days to put my feet up too so end of next week is a great time for her to come... FX she feels this way too

DS2 and DS3 were both 10 days early so that takes me to Friday the 21st which would be perfect. I have an appointment on Wed sso will see what they say then. I have been having BH since 17 weeks but just the last couple of weeks they are getting painful... have to stop what ever I am doing until it passes and have been getting horrible pains in my groin which I have never had before.

My personal thoughts are that she is on her way and will be here by next weekend but who knows

She is also very big too! DS3 was 9 pound 11 and born 10 days early and she is looking at being similar, maybe a bit smaller. So hoping she won't go to my due date, she may be 10-11 pounds by then

I don't know from experience, but sounds like it could be bloody show. Fingers crossed for you!

Such "bleeding" means the blood vessels in the cervix are rupturing as it dilates and effaces. Once you've watched the bloody show, labor is probably just a day or two away — though don't try to set your watch (or your labor stopwatch) to it, since it's not a definite timetable."  I haven't had that yet from a cervix check, but I guess it could depend on how gentle or rough your dr is?

I had read that too plum.  Also saw that bloody show would be more bright red so not sure which is true??  I guess time will tell...all I can do is wait, and wait, and wait

Same here, goingfor3. My son was 10 days early and I'm now 6 days from my due date... with nothing but BHs. Waaaah.

I am still here, 4 days over from scan EDD and my due date going from ovulation. Only got to wait until Thursday at the most so not too disheartened, I feel like my life is on hold until I go into labour.

Looks like a lot of us will be meeting our babies by Thursday or Friday of this week...may this week fly by!

Ok so I started having several contractions an hour last night and today off and on. I have a lot of pelvic pressure and feel like I have to go to the bathroom all the time, also nauseous with some loose stools. Is it finally happening, will I really be able to avoid being induced later this week?! This waiting is killing me! Even though I know I have the signs of early labor I also know that it doesn't mean I will be having her anytime soon and it could still be days away. Why does labor tease us like this??

Anyone else having signs of impending labor?

I could have written that exact post TTC#3! I had v.v. Weak contractions starting at 8.30pm last night and they carried on all night at 2 mins apart lasting 1 minute. I finally went to sleep at 12 midnight and got woken up at 4am with the contractions getting stronger, not alot strong but they did increase in pressure. I got up and went to the toilet when I had a loose bowel movement an felt really sick. I watched a baby story for a bit and then toddled off back to bed. I woke at 8am and they were still the same so I figured I should just carry on with my day and see how I went. Well I cleaned and prepped the house just in case and after all my hard work they died down and have now completely stopped. Such a dissappointment. Oh well 1.5 days until induction.

Good to know I'm not alone Chelsea :)  It is so frustrating to feel like this is finally "it" and then have the contractions stop suddenly.  But like you said, at least we know it will all be over by Friday...so there is an end in sight!

TTC3 and Chelsea... I'm in the same exact boat. Will have periods of steady contractions (mild, BHish) and then they fade. Then they come back a couple hours later. All it does is leave me crampy and sore.   I have an appt tomorrow morning...praying that they've at least helped me to dilate more and efface. I scheduled my first ever acupuncture appt for Thursday afternoon. A friend has had good luck and gone into labor after one session at this clinic. Fingers crossed!! Good luck to you both and I hope it starts naturally for you before Friday.

I am also going to a holistic doctor on Wednesday evening who will use some pressure points to help labor along.  It worked for his wife and he has done amazing things for me so FX!

That's what started me thinking about acupuncture... another friend mentioned the pressure point on the inside of/above your ankle. So last night I found a youtube video and made DH massage that point for awhile. Pretty sure we didn't know what we were doing... all it did was leave a sore bruised area on my leg. Probably better left to the professionals.
