I have 3 and PG with # 4 and all were different I find the more you have the easier - or shall I say more experienced. you know what to expect.
My 1st was long he was face up and 9 lbs 2 oz, and was pushing form 8 am - 2:23 pm
2nd he was like not even an hour- they didn't beleive me I was in labour- dr. barely made it
3rd it was about 3 -4 hours from start to finish getting to hospital - I was up over 30 hours and was exhausted from being up so lopng so I think it took longer to brith as I was beat. lol
with regards to your plan, maybe have a friend or someone close by as a back up - 911 is a plan too. someone that you can call friend or relative that is 24/7 on call so they can be there and maybe set up another friend to watch kids.. so maybe 2 separate friends or family
