I did!  It was last week and just had another scan done by a high-risk OB (I have Gestational Diabetes) today and everything looks great with the babe!  As far as gender prediction, well...here's my post in the Ultrasound Forum:

http://www.in-gender.com/cs/forums/t/235091.aspx

I guess this is why people advise against getting any kind of prediction before 20 weeks... so why do our techs keep asking us if we want to know? Happy Wink  We'd be fine so long as the first two hadn't said anything. But it was our fault for being curious. LOL

The one "good" thing about going to see a high-risk OB is that his office requires scans every 4 weeks... !

Have two amazing step Baby Bear Boy's... and a baby on the way! Due April 2, 2012!

I don't do them.  I did try to get a nub shot at 12 weeks.  I had an u/s to check my bleed.  It is GONE...thank GOD!  She didn't get me a good nub shot, though...boo!

I declined having one. My OB did surprise me though with news at my last appt that I'll be getting an u/s at my next appt later this month. I'll be 14 weeks, and hoping for a guess at gender. I know it will still be early though, but fingers are crossed anyway.

USA Mommy:  Good luck at your NT scan!  Share your pics!  Happy

3forMe: Thanks for checking my pics out anyway (I'm horrible at gender ID too!)... yes, so glad our babe is healthy!  I don't know why, maybe because it's my first, but I keep worrying about something not being right.  I have nothing to compare it to.  So it's always such a relief when the techs tell me everything is normal!  I feel like I can breathe again!  If I had more experience I am sure I would worry a *bit* less.  Maybe.  LOL. Good luck at your scan and be sure to update us with some pics! Happy Wink

JoJoGirl: Yay! SO glad the bleed is gone!  That's great news.  Sorry you couldn't get good pics at your scan.  If it makes you feel any better, good shots are way more difficult than it seems. Unfortunately, our tech at our 12w NT scan is looking like she was WAY too confident about her gender guessing skills.  She straight-up told us, "You want to know the sex?" My DH agreed but thought it was too early (as did I, but I've read up on nub theory...)--and she pointed out a "scrotal bump," and the beginnings of a penis, etc--she said she was nearly 100% sure babe was a boy.  So we somewhat reluctantly (though pleasantly) believed babe was looking like a boy for about a week, then got a nice surprise a few days later when at my perinatologist's office, where the (seemingly more experienced) tech claimed babe was looking girlie w/ a girlie nub!   So when I updated my post here with the video from the 12w NT scan, the IG techs and experienced nub-guessers are now saying nub looks girlie!  No "scrotal bump" seen on video--the orig tech got it wrong because she hadn't captured the whole nub!  (Thankfully all our future scans are going to be at my new peri's office from now on!) So goes to show... a reliable and accurate nub shot is definitely hard to come by!  I guess I take it for granted from being on this board, but it really is so hard to get a good nub shot.  But the more important thing by far is babe looks great and you're both healthy!  Happy Smile

Sparkle80: Good luck at your NT scan!  Get some pics and post. Happy Wink

My1Dream: Yay--glad babe is all well!  Happy

nightspell.....I have actually been following your story BECAUSE I was tipped off that my picture might show a hint of scrotal bump. So of course I got obsessed with it and started googling. I found your thread and all I have to say is, I have hope! LOL! I have the Ramzi theory on my side and I'm holding onto it. Still...all someone had to say is they "thought" they saw scrotal bump and I'm thinking "crap!" So....now I am waiting until birth. It's going to be way too long. I was 12 weeks exactly when my pic was taken. here it is.

Jojogirl:  WOW, I know how you feel! Yes, please do have hope!  I had practically none after hearing the first tech say "scrotal bump" (she actually said "scrotum bump" and it was only until coming to this board when I realized what she meant...) and I swear, it looked like she captured the world's best boy nub (it still does everytime I see that photo!).  I don't have much experience with nub theory, obviously, but even I was pretty sure she had found the perfect boy nub because it just seemed that obvious.  That's why I nearly fell to the floor when the peri's office said otherwise. But when you see the video... as Coldwater and Nichole and Lovemy4 have done... I guess it shows something differently, and dare I say, something even girlie!  And all of a sudden this "scrotal bump" is really looking like a poor interpretation based on a partial nub shot and not even the full nub!  I am trying my hardest not to assume that babe is a girl all of a sudden, because I know it's still so early, but I think it's safe to say that babe is certainly not looking as boyish as we had thought! So yes, there is always hope, because in your pic, I definitely see a lot going on in that area, and I do not see anything even close to being definitive as a nub, much less a "scrotal bump"!  I went through all the pages on the confirmed girl nub shots, and there were more than a few with nubs that looked very boyish and just overall ambiguous and could go either way.  And that's based on what the tech thought was a "clear shot"!  And I don't think yours is clear enough to determine anything, much less anything boyish!  This is why I am now a big believer in videos over pics--there's just way too much that gets lost and misinterpreted in a single image capture.   So on one hand, I am sorry you didn't get a clear image of the nub--but on the other, I think it might work to your advantage because I think your chances are still 50/50 regardless of what that tech told you!  And you can make that even higher in favor of girl, if you count the Ramzi theory thrown in...! Happy Wink

I am at around 11 weeks 3 days!!

My with DD, my Quad Screen came back as 1:150 risk for down syndrome - and my odds should have been 1:1017.  Well, my DD is fine, but I never forgot how scared I was.  I'd rather do this NT scan and get an idea before I take this stupid quad screen again in case it's positive.  One of the doctor's there told me that if your quad screen is positive, it's more likely to come back positive again so I'd rather just do the NT scan too to ease my fears.  Then another doctor told me that is THAT pregnancy that caused the test to be positive so it has no bearing on future tests.Confused Huh? Whatever....doctors always have differing opinions!

it's stories like this that make me want to decline the quad this month.  UGH!  The 12 week is not perfected either.  My bff was told her dd would have downs.  High chance.  She's fine.  I think I'm going to skip all testing.

Part of me doesn't want to do testing either, but I feel obligated to for some reason.  Medical pressure I suppose.  I just wish false positives didn't exist!!!! Happy LOL

I was like that when I was having my first few kids.  Now, I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter what they tell me.  We won't do anything about it anyway.  So I think I am going to decline the tests at 16 weeks.  I will do my 20 week anatomy scan but that's it.  I don't want to deal with lab errors.  I have already had to deal with one this year and that was quite enough.  Luckily my doctors office doesn't even pressure about it.  They are all like "whatever you want" kind of docs.  I like that!
