USA Mommy: Good luck at your NT scan! Share your pics!
3forMe: Thanks for checking my pics out anyway (I'm horrible at gender ID too!)... yes, so glad our babe is healthy! I don't know why, maybe because it's my first, but I keep worrying about something not being right. I have nothing to compare it to. So it's always such a relief when the techs tell me everything is normal! I feel like I can breathe again! If I had more experience I am sure I would worry a *bit* less. Maybe. LOL. Good luck at your scan and be sure to update us with some pics!
JoJoGirl: Yay! SO glad the bleed is gone! That's great news. Sorry you couldn't get good pics at your scan. If it makes you feel any better, good shots are way more difficult than it seems. Unfortunately, our tech at our 12w NT scan is looking like she was WAY too confident about her gender guessing skills. She straight-up told us, "You want to know the sex?" My DH agreed but thought it was too early (as did I, but I've read up on nub theory...)--and she pointed out a "scrotal bump," and the beginnings of a penis, etc--she said she was nearly 100% sure babe was a boy. So we somewhat reluctantly (though pleasantly) believed babe was looking like a boy for about a week, then got a nice surprise a few days later when at my perinatologist's office, where the (seemingly more experienced) tech claimed babe was looking girlie w/ a girlie nub! So when I updated my post here with the video from the 12w NT scan, the IG techs and experienced nub-guessers are now saying nub looks girlie! No "scrotal bump" seen on video--the orig tech got it wrong because she hadn't captured the whole nub! (Thankfully all our future scans are going to be at my new peri's office from now on!) So goes to show... a reliable and accurate nub shot is definitely hard to come by! I guess I take it for granted from being on this board, but it really is so hard to get a good nub shot. But the more important thing by far is babe looks great and you're both healthy!
