Calling all July 2010 Mommys 13 months!

Just had to share that when this pic of Aislinn popped up, my lo said baby, and kissed the screen.  She looks so happy on her dino!

AAwww how cute!  She was very happy and loves to sit on him but only her toes touch the floor and she doesn't know how to make him move yet. She will get it though, she's a smart girl. LOL

She is doing great! Thank you. We are almost done with her medication, 8 more days, that she has been on since october for the pulmonary hypertension. We don't have to see her cardiologist until december and as long as everything is good she will see him once a year. We have her 15 month well baby check next week, then right after that I have to take her down to the valley for an appt with the developmental specialist. Hopefully she gets a good report there, but each time we go they tell us she is about 3-4 months delayed in her development. I hate hearing that, even though I know she is delayed, but 3-4 months is a lot. Anyway, I will update after her appt. Here is another picture from yesterday. lol

Hi ladies! I completely forgot to come back and update about Aislinn's appts. Her 15 month check-up went great. She weighed in at 15lbs 13oz which finally moved her up to the 12th%, and her height was 27 1/2in ( she didn't grow in length this last month ) and dropped to the 10th% for that. Her head growth is right on track and she got 3 shots. I have to take her in today for a flu shot. She is eating really good these days so we are hoping she will start to catch up on the growth chart. As for her appointment with the developmental specialist, that is another story. I thought it was going pretty well but was completely unprepared for their results. I was told that Aislinn's vocal skills are at about 8-8.5 months of age, which isn't too bad considering we did not know for sure about her hearing loss until a few months ago. The big shocker was that they said her fine/gross motor skills were at about the 6-7.75 months range!! I know she is behind but I didn't think she was that far behind. I couldn't help it, I started crying right there in the office. The doctor told me to remember everything Aislinn has been through and has overcome so far in her short life and that considering all of that she is doing really good. We also had a meeting with our early intervention support person and we will be starting her speech and occupational therapy as soon as we find therapists for her. I'm hoping we can get her caught up a little more before her next appt in march.
