5th time lucky???

Well I had my scan today, everything is fine with the baby and still measuring to my dates. When I asked if she could see what it was she showed me the 3 white lines and said she thought it was a girl, when I asked how sure she was she said she thought it looked like a girl but wouldn't paint the room, agghhh I asked for a potty shot but they don't let you have them which is frustrating, everyone around me seems really excited but i'm just struggling to believe it especially after she said she wouldn't paint the room. The only thing that makes me abit more happier is that I know they have only in the last year started telling people, so maybe it's just them being overly cautious. After 4 boys I so hope their right, trying to get hubby to agree to a 4d scan next month to confirm things, hopefully my family is now complete :-)

I know what you mean about being nervous when everyone else seems to accept what the Technician said.  This is my fourth and FINAL kiddo and we swayed hard for a girl.  But, after they told me DS #2 was a girl and we had a BIG surprise in the delivery room, I just can't seem to convince myself!  Fingers crossed for both of us that our little girls stay girls!!

Congrats to both of you! I think it's hard to 100% believe the US, esp if they are a bit "don't paint the room", but in general they tend to be correct.

Would you go for a private one to confirm or not sure if you have another scan? I got a private for $39 and def took my doubts away and made me feel very settled with my next little boy arriving. His us pic is on the fridge and makes me smile when I pass it, trying to imagine what this little fella will turn out like.

yes I'v managed to book a 3d scan for the 17th August, looking forward to it as never had one before, I also bought my first pink item of clothing the other day but not at the stage where I can go through and sort all the boys clothes out, that will have to wait till after the scan and hopefully I know more. Feels weird trying to imagine what she'll look like as I'm so used to looking at boys :-)
