Anyone used IVF financing?

My husband and I are currently saving up for IVF (just saved our first $1,000 yay, now repeat and repeat and repeat lol). Well I want to start cycling next fall, we hope to have around $10,000 saved by then. I imagine we will have to borrow around $5,000 to cover the rest. Are those IVF financing houses worth it, do they provide a good rate or should we just try to get an unsecured personal loan with our bank instead? For example HRC recommends using CapexMD. Anyone ever used these financing options before?

For my first we used Capital One Healthcare Finance, their interest rate was like 18%.  They don't do medical loans anymore.

For this one we tried reaching out to medloanfinance.com, $1200 fee to start the 10k loan, then like 14% interest rate, no way were we doing that.

We checked out Carecredit.com and it too had horrible rates.

We wound up getting approved through Keybank (not even our normal bank) for a 15k line of credit with a 10 year draw period (we can pay back and borrow as often as we want for 10 years) with an 11% interest rate. 

So in summary, try an unsecured loan from your bank first.  Good luck!

Depending on your credit, you can get pretty good rates. We financed 10k at 0% for 18 months through Care Credit. Check with your clinic.

thanks I will check all of these options out....the itch is really getting to me.....i don't want to wait until next fall! Maybe we will end up borrowing more than $5,000 after all.
