Shyann:Yes :( My lil girl has reflux! She has it bad too. She's already been to the pedi 3 times this month, tried 2 different meds and nothing is working. I feel so bad for her. Apparently it peaks at 4 months. Can't believe she can actually get any worse. She's only 7 weeks now.
we are trying Zantac and it doesn't seem to be helping much. He cries all day./night it's horrible!!
We tried Zantac too and it didn't help :( We also tried Prevacid & Domperidone with no luck. I feel so bad not being able to help her. She cries a lot too & is really hard to soothe.
I've been researching acid reflux and it seems that alot of babies have acid reflux and colic. I have also changed my diet(breastfeeding) and keep him upright 30 min after feedings, burp him sitting up, change diaper to the side instead of lifting his legs etc and have seen slight improvements. Good luck
Sorry to hear Zantac is not working for some of ya'll. Our little guy is taking Zantac and it definitely helps him sleep at night. Before, he was up every 1.5 to 2 hrs and would have the squirmies and grunting the rest of the time, along with the spitting up. At one point, we thought he had pylorus stenosis, because he was projectile vomitting and the fussiness that went along with the reflux was non stop. In addition to keeping your LO upright 30 minutes after feedings, you can also try letting him stay propped up. We now have also switched from side sleeping to tummy sleeping (I know it's a big no no, but he turns his head very well and honestly, it's really helped with the reflux and his sleeping). I don't think he has spit up once when he is on his belly. But, if we put him on his side or back, he is sure to spit up. As far as diaper changing goes, we now change his diaper before we feed him instead of after.
