17w4d - told girl, but is it really?? - UPDATED with new pics in post #9

 I went for an elective gender scan yesterday at 17w4d. They said girl but I'm just not convinced at all. I feel like the shot was from too far back and maybe not a true between the legs shot (but I'm not an expert by any means!)  What do you think? I really wanted a girl but thought boy from the beginning. I convinced myself it was a boy (from 14week scan) and am happy with a boy now but after they said girl I was so excited! I don't want to get my hopes up that it's a girl and spread that announcement and then go in again in 3 weeks to find out it's a boy.  What do you think??

I'm having a little trouble orientating the picture, if what I'm looking at is the potty area, I say !!

 Alpha - I think it kinda looks like a heart shape -  The baby's back is at the bottom of the picture. The two nubs that would make the top of a heart shape are the legs if that helps.

This isn't a great gender shot.  I don't see boy parts but I also don't see labia.  I would assume the tech got a good look though and wouldn't tell you girl if s/he wasn't sure.

 Lovemy4 - That's my thinking too...I don't see boy parts but I don't see definitive girl parts either. I'm not too pleased with the angle of the picture. I watched the video of the whole scan and baby was very active so it's hard to see too much but I also don't see any better shots on the video. 

If you want to upload your video I'd be happy to take a look. 

 I went for another ultrasound on Saturday at 17w6d. (They were looking for down syndrome soft markers but did my whole anatomy scan as well) The tech said Girl again and I want to be sure!. I am added links to those pictures.I don't know how to upload the video. It took my a few minutes to figure out where things are but I think it's the top right corner in 2 of the pictures but the last picture I'm not sure what I'm looking at.

 Can you take another peak and let me know what you're seeing?

They just aren't so great at giving you good pics, huh?  The 2nd pic looks girly but I'm not sure about the last pic.

You're right, not many good pictures (and these were at two different places, the elective place came highly recommended!). It's kind of frustrating. I have to have ultrasounds every 4 weeks so hopefully I'll get some reassurance and better pictures next time!

With 2 seperate places saying girl it really is most likely a girl.  They just aren't giving you the best pics for whatever reason.
