Hi everyone, I'm new to the site but i've been lurking for the past month trying to sort out what on earth I was doing! I'm 24 and already have one girl who is 4 in december. Ever since we found out I was pregnant DH and I were SURE we were having a boy. We were even told at the 18 weeks scan that she was probably a boy. A scan later the same lady then believed DD had a cleft palate/lip. PURE hell to go through. Nothing a better scan can't fix... to prove the woman was wrong on both gender and the cleft. DD wasn't exactly a whoopsie baby, she was more of a "let's see what happens" baby. I think I realise my mistake in that we did BD WAY too often and I had NO idea when I ovulated. I was big on dairy (despite being lactose intolerant, not a good idea!) and sweets and have a feeling my "environment" was too acidic. I'm an Aussie living in Asia so unfortunately a lot of the things people suggest aren't possible/ very hard to get a hold of. I did change my diet to suit more savoury and salty foods, potassium supplements amongst other things. I also had lemon water, green tea and pineapple juice. lots of pineapples.. avoided anything very acidic. ate more of anything alkaline. Ate so many bananas that the mere thought of them now makes me gag a little :P I've been BBT charting religiously for 5 months. I'm not a morning person so this took effort. Have also been using OPKs since CD9. currently CD16. I bought what OPKs I could buy here (horrible process of searching for them, then having to fill out a form and be approved by a chemist before I could even BUY) and a friend of mine sent me some of those cheap wondfo ones. I got an even positive on CD14 at 10pm then a really dark positive on BOTH types of OPK in the morning on CD15. Decided to BD last night around 12 hours after + HOPEFULLY it works out! I drank some pure lemon juice yesterday, lots of green tea, BSF before. DH had an ice pack and a red bull before (coffee actually makes him a bit sick as he has IBS). O's... yep... before and after. I'm sure I had a lot of EWCM the night before... I didn't really get to "check" last night as when my body normally produces the EWCM late at night and that's when we were BD'ing.... definitely felt like it was present. I feel like I've done almost ALL I can to sway for a boy. So I'm at ease. But this morning my BBT showed that the temp didn't drop.. in fact it was higher than yesterday's by .10C.. which is very odd because I know my cycle like clock work. I did have ovulation pains at around 8 thins morning.. the same time AF likes to show up. please please please!!!

wow vesna! is there a specific website that can help us inquire as to the moon on the day we conceived? i too have two daughtersand do get moody and depressed at times bf my period!

This is the website that I use blueshell

http://kalender-365.de/lunar-calendar.php

It has the lunar phases for pretty much all the years. What I did was I basicly counted back 40 weeks from my due date (rather than the day that they were actually born) for both girls and then 2 weeks forward as I usually ovulate around day 14-15. I love the website. At first it helped me work out that the moon does affect me So at first I checked the lunar calendar after a couple of days of being an awful pain in the be** and noticed that it was always and I swear without fail it was always around full moon time. It starts to affect me a little bit from 7 days before and it gets pretty bad from 2 days prior to full moon day. Then I feel like a new person as if nothing has happenned. Now that I know it is what makes me feel so bad I actually sort of feel better because I know it will pass and it does pass. So after that I always check everything that is said about the effect of the moon before I dismiss it. The moon affects the tides and we are made of water so it does affect us too. I did not think it sways but maybe it does.

Still not sure what to do about it if it is simply the ions I suppose it can be solved with counteracting with positive ions. I have to read Tamara's book again and do pretty much everything I can to counteract the moon. Swaying is hard work :-(

Sounds like a good sway to me Keroko, the only thing that I found out from this website though is that apparently and despite what Shattles says O+12hrs=pink. Sounds like you did not O when you thought you did anyway so all should be ok. Good luck!

thanks :) Yeah I saw that too so was trying best to avoid going over O... and from my understanding OPK's detect the LH surge.. not ovulation itself as it happens prior to the egg releasing? If anything I've done it a little early (less than 12 hours after the +) as BBT chart doesn't suggest O was today because there was no temp shift yet.... but I did have the cm shift this afternoon. Not yesterday when we tried.... ha. I hope I have that right. better early than late right?

Hello K! I am planning to conceive in august too !!(prob will O on first week) this will be a waxing moon.....i dont know how it will affect me but i am praying for a boy!! so far i am drinking bs with water 3x day. it just works really well for my ph. I am trying very hard to continue getting the v8 with yeast flakes down my throat!! yuk!! and i am also eating as much meat, tomatoes, and potatoes as i possibly can . wierd bc i am not an avid meat eater. I am a health freak and eating so much of everything im not used to really is mind boggling to me. But im willing to do whatever it takes for my boy!!! Boy swaying is really not easy!! On day of the deed i plan to so bsf, egs msu, and instead cup. DH is taking supplements as well and dosent seem to have a prob with his ph levels like i did at the beggining. Hopefully all goes wel for both of usl.. I will be praying for both of us to bring some blue !!!

Baby Girl2002 Baby Girl 2005 and Baby Boy due March 2013! Thank-you God, girls and I.G.
