DH thinks I am nuts and says it too early but I can't help myself, I just feel this need to get organised Happy Smile I don't have a nursery for the baby but I do have a pretty big 'corner' which I am filling with baby stuff at the moment. Mostly I am going through DS3's old clothes, baby gear, etc. to see what I am giving away and what could be kept for the Baby Bear Girl. I am making lists of what we'll need to buy and looking into tandem pushchairs. I think the 2nd trimester is perfect for this, while I still have the energy Happy Wink

Please tell me I am not the only one?! ConfusedHappy Giggle and that I should ignore DH who is saying it's bad luck to do this before the 3rd trimester Hmm

Not bad luck... He's just worried about the honey-do list lol!! Our nursery is halfway done and I already went thru my girl clothes hunting for neutrals. I'm freaking out because I had a friend offer us boy clothes for over a year which is why we started trying sooner than we planned. She promised them every week for the past five weeks saying she was washing them and stuff. She just backed out. Now I'm almost halfway with almost no clothes and used any budget we would've had for them to pay some stuff off and get my girls big girl beds.. Which could've been done much later. I think the hormones are making this more stressful than it really is but it sucks. I obviously know we can get by with a couple sleepers but I just wanted everything to be perfect when I finally got the little man I'd wanted my whole life. I know someone here can relate to that! Sorry for venting in your thread!

I don't know if I'd call it nesting just yet, but I've definitely been SHOPPINGHappy Smile  We are going to set up the nursery at the end of the Summer when DS #2 will move into a room with DS #1 - honestly he's been sleeping in there (two twin beds) for almost two years, so it's not a big transition, just moving his clothes over.  Just yesterday I bought the crib bedding - it's on backorder until next month, but I can't wait for it to arrive!  Plus I've picked out some prints on Etsy for the walls and the dresser I want... Do you know how you want to decorate your nursery yet?

I'm also looking at double strollers - trying to figure out if it's even worth it at this point since my 18 month old hates to ride in the stoller.  We do have a sit & stand - but it's a beast to manuveur and we only bought it because it was perfect for Disney.

Too funny about your baby stuff piling up in the corner - I have a basket in my bedroom that is starting to overflow with pink clothesHeart

I think you and Al should  exchange baby clothes Happy Wink My sister in law just offered to give me two bags full of girly stuff! I am of course looking forward to picking out some cute outfits in the shops but as much as I'd like to buy all new pink/ purple baby gear we can't afford it at the moment. We have a very good pushchair/travel system that we bought for DS3 and it's dark blue... I'd love to buy a new one but it's such an investment...I am considering putting pink sheets/ blankets/ toys inside it to make it girly Happy Giggle we shall see.... I also have lots of blue baby clothes but I suspect you and Al live a little closer since i am on the other side of the pond Happy Wink

I don't have a nursery to decorate... we have 4 bedrooms so the baby will sleep in a crib next to my bed for the 1st months. Upstairs, on the landing I have a 'corner' with  a window and two walls where I have the cot, changing table and baby gear at the moment, that will be her space. Longterm she'll have to share rooms with DS3, or we'll have to move.

Oh wow! I definately need a stroller for DS3 who is 4 when I go downtown shopping. He is really at an age where he could soon be walking next to me but he is NOT good at holding hands and I am sure he would try to run off as soon as we got into a shop and I need my hands. I know lots of people would find it silly to get a tandem pushchair with an age gap this big though... I looked at the Baby Jogger City Select where each seat takes up to 20kg and I think it would be ideal for us but it is soooo expensive Doh!

Believe it or not but I haven't bought anything pink yet! Happy Giggle You should post some pics of your stuff! Stick out tongue

Aww Al, you're too sweet! She just wrote me again last night having changed her mind again. I'm supposed to go up there a week from tomorrow. Fingers crossed she doesn't change her mind again by then! I never should've relied on her but you'd think a "friend" promising something so major for so long would actually come through.

I'm waiting on a friend of mine too - she's amount 11-12 weeks now so she'll find out if it's her boy after a girl in a few weeks.  We have no pormises between us since she doesn't know the sex yet and I'm 8 weeks ahead so if I trade in the meantime, she won't be heart broken.

I've collected some stuff too.  Garage sales, the grandmas, some trips to Marshalls. I need more newborn and 18 month + but I am pretty set for 3-12 months.  Plus, there are still a couple of more folks that may donate to our cause.  You can never have to many clothes tho!

This little baby is the first girl so even my SIL who's prego with a boy has bought her a few things!
