Hey there!!! I want to try ttc a girl for Spring/ Summer of 2011!!! I'm debating wether or not to even try in the month of May?!? I conceived my first DS in the begining of May and had a very BOY friendly diet!! I didn't eat very much red meat but lots of fruits, veggies and very low dairy!!!! We are also going to be going to Texas for my brother's wedding and that means that me and DH would be in the midst of the the diet for the wedding!!! Also I really can't start my diet officially until I run my Half marathon at the end of March! Looking forward to chatting with the Spring/Summer 2011 ttc girl swayers!!! ;) Thanks, Sasha

Hi Gals! Count me in!....hopfully.  I've shared my situation before but to refresh: we are about to change health insurance policies/companies, hoping it starts in May.  IF it has maternity coverage than we'll start as soon as we can (don't know yet if there is a waiting period before we can concieve).

I REALLY want the next one to be right about 3 years after the last (18 months) so it'll be end of summer/fall most likely. Just trying to get my swaying game plan together first. Happy Wink

Can't wait to get to know you both and am so excited to hear more about your swaying plans.....

Hi ladies! I have one DS 14 months old. I was going to start TTC in May but decided to push it to June because of a family vacation. I conceived my DS with a very very boy friendly diet. I was eating multiple banana's a day and was almost exclusively on red meat. We also abstained from BD for over a month because of a miscarriage and we BD the day before ovulation. The thing I am having the hardest time with is deciding what I want to do with BD and timing. I know I do not have the patience for a 3 day cut off or 0+12 for too many months. So I was thinking of doing Deanna's plan, because everyone I know who has done that has had a girl. I really excited to get to know you all.

Yaay!! I'm excited to sway this spring/summer with you ladies!!. I'm just wondering if I should even bother trying to be on the diet starting in April?!? My brother's wedding is on April 30th!! It's probably the only sibling wedding I will ever go to! I know that sounds weird but it's a long story and I'm the only Girl in my family and I'm not fully related to any of my male siblings. So if I was on the diet that weekend of the wedding that would mean no drinking and eating!! I don't really want to put my DH through that torture either! UGH!!! Hopefully I will make a decision by the begining of April. I will be doing a 2-3 day cutoff with full IG girl diet , supps, ions. No replens, or Aci-Jel. Only one douche before BD. We will do frequent release. Of course I'm sure I will become unsure about all of my plans the closer I get to my attempt.

I'd love to know as well!!

Hello to everyone!! For awhile there I was thinking I was the only one! So good to "meet" you all Happy LOL

I'm not totally sure about my sway yet. I'm slowly collecting stuff for my sway- salt lamps, neg. ion bracelet, etc. I'm going to be losing weight while attempting to sway, which I've heard works. I've been dieting since Jan 1st and lost 20lbs so far so I hope to lose another 20 before getting pregnant. With my boys, I've been heavy when conceiving...so I want to do the opposite this time! I'm also going to be outside a lot this summer, trying to go out to the mountains for all those neg. ions. Less computer time and inside time should help a bit. Also, I'm nursing my 9mos old so my cycles aren't back yet....been taking vitex to get them back and will most likely night wean in a couple months to help it along. I will be taking cal/mag, cranberry, b6, folic acid, vit d...and a few others that I can't remember right now. I'm also doing the lime before bd and after. I have a diva cup as well- unsure if I'm going to place that in as well....Most likely a 3 day cut off with frequent release. Hot showers for both of us...bath for DH as well. I have to really look into it all a bit more because there's more I'd like to incorporate. I'm really excited to try again:) My hubby is finally onboard with number 4...and I'm thrilled to get the big family that I've always dreamed of....even if it is 4 boys:) Take Care and talk soon!!

Here is Deanna's plan. I have no idea if it would technically sway boy or not, I am only going by people who were NOT swaying and used this plan. They all had girls. The Plan Short Version: "Try" every other night starting Day 8 Buy 10 ovulation predictor kit sticks Begin ovulation testing on Day 10 When test is positive, "try" that night, plus two additional nights in a row Skip one night, then do one last "try" Take a home pregnancy test 15 days after your ovulation test was positive, if your period has not begun If your ovulation test never goes positive, continue "trying" every other night until Day 35, then do a pregnancy test if your period has not begun. Statistics coming in from women who write me show that about 40% of post-miscarriage women will get pregnant on the first try if they are faithful to the plan, about double the number of the normal population who are not on the plan. This assumes, of course, that you waited for a normal cycle to begin after your loss, and did not begin trying before having a period after a miscarriage. Many women do not ovulate in that first cycle. Detailed Version: On day 8 of your cycle, counting from the first day you bled, begin "trying" every other night. Begin taking Ovulation Predictor Kits (or continue with your Ovulation computer) on Day 10. Buy two five-packs so as not to scrimp on taking them and stop too early. To make sure your OPK is working well, take your test in the afternoon or after work and do not drink any liquids or go to the bathroom for at least four hours prior to testing. (Morning is not a good time for OPKs, which look for the LH surge, which usually happens during the day.) Read your OPK instructions carefully, as usually a faint line does not indicate a positive, you need a line that is darker than the test line. LH is produced throughout your cycle and will only predict ovulation when it has a big surge. When your OPK turns positive, begin trying every night for three consecutive nights, skip the fourth night, and then once more. Then stop! The waiting begins. Take a home pregnancy test 15 or 16 days after your OPK was positive if your period has not begun. Do not buy internet pregnancy tests or tests that claim to work before your period is expected. They are not well manufactured and are not reliable. They will only cause you more anxiety than you already feel in wanting to know. Please resist the urge to do a blood test at your doctor's office just to find out sooner unless you have a medical reason to know early. Fertilized eggs that do not grow are actually a terrible but normal occurrence as much as 75% of the time, and seeing a very low put positive blood test in the first 14 days can place you on a terrible emotional roller coaster. By the time a home pregnancy test is positive, your baby has safely implanted and your odds of miscarriage are down to a normal 10%. Should your OPK never become positive, keep the every other day trying going until day 35. I recommend at that point taking a home pregnancy test, but even if it is negative, you might want to take a quantitative hCG blood test at your doctor's office. Remember that not every women will ovulate every month. I personally did not ovulate for two months following my first miscarriage. As you are trying, make sure to "release" the sperm in your partner at least once during the gap between ovulation and new cycle Day 8 so that no more than 10 days elapse without new sperm production. Sperm is also a cause of genetic damage, not just eggs, so keep it fresh! If you are not successful the first month, it is not because your sperm did not get to your egg. 75% of eggs are lost within the first 14 days due to normal genetic damage or failure to fertilize. Just keep trying!

Thanks Kaseybaby for the explanation on Deana's plan. But did Deana's plan come from somewhere on an old IG post? Or was it on another website?

Looks like you got a good plan going for your sway Tallula! I need to get a few more things for my ions, that I didn't have last summer when I tried to sway! I'm still undecided about the b6 because last time it majorly delayed my O.

We are going to start our sway in a few months! We are already taking vitamins and herbs 1/2 dose for now but increasing over time. I have started replacing boy foods with girl foods. I started to track my ovulation (ovacue) and ph for the practice. Currently learning what foods affect my ph. My husband is very supportive and has no problems with the changes.

My husband and I have only been together since Jan. 2007. We were not trying to get pregnant, I was on the pill and we also used protection, the only time nothing was used was during my monthly. 6mths after we met we went on a trip to Mexico. The weekend we came back I was starting to get sick and after several weeks I went to the Dr and learned I was pregnant. After some blood work and ultrasounds we were told that it did happen while I was on my monthly. We did think of not continuing with the pregnancy but at that time I tested postive for pre-cancer cells in my papsmears and we thought it would be our only child. James is my love at first sight, no joke, when I first saw him we were the only two in room I saw or heard no one else. I was so happy to have a boy. He looks 50-50 like both of us, but has his dads hair and crystal blue eye's.

When James was 13mths old and weaned himself off the utter I got a really strong monthly, possible mc or just the weaning and it returning. But the Mirena IUD fell out and I didn't notice. Mothers day weekend we got pregnant because we were relying on the IUD at the time. Found out at my quaterly papsmear.  The Dr said he didn't see the IUD. A few minutes later the ultrasound saw a 6wk fetus. Over chinese food I told my husband that I had some interesting news, with a big smile he said your pregnant. We hoped for a girl but got our little wiggle butt. Charlie is our wild child and we love him. He looks 80% like me and 20% like "aahh dada". He will be my a middle child like I was for 12 years, but he will never feel the way did because I will make sure he is treated equally.

I talked about wanting one more child but I went back and forth between two is enough and wanting a chance at swaying for a girl. I have been researching for about a year to try and learn what it would take. Some people have odd advice but I like ingender and the hugh list of things to do... So praying it works for me, we are going to try as much of it as possible. The good news is some of the diet changes are good for my husbands high blood pressure and our weight lose goals. We are also doing our best to change the ions after learning it can help with depression, asthma, allergies, and other stuff.

BYE BYE... I am no longer able to get into the forums because the monkeys have invaded... anyone who was following my post, writing me, had something in common, or whatever you can find me at genderdreaming. I will be posting my plan for my girl sway, how the Ovucue 2 is doing, diet, vitamins/herbs, I will post when I get preg and learn the gender. Hope to see more ingender friends at the other forum... They have some different and new info for swaying!!!

No she didn't but she actually did a couple of things that sway boy unknowingly.  She wasn't trying for any specific gender, just a baby.  She took Mucinex and used an instead cup.  I guess she just got lucky (or unlucky as some might see it - lol!)
