These are glass vials and you have to break them open.
Hold the pointy top in your fingers and spin so that the liquid goes to the bottom of the vial.
Then hold at bottom and using thumb and finger on the other hand you snap the top off at the blue line.
I was lucky - same thing happened to me and I took the vial to a GP friend of mine who showed me how!

We were booked in to go to HRC in Feb 2009 but DH decided against it... I think my dream is over! :(
Cycle 1 - HRC - arrived in USA 4/12/10 and u/s 6/12/10 (ER postponed) / second u/s 7/12/10 / ER postponed from 8/12/10 to 9/12/10 - 15 eggs retrieved (all mature), 14 fertilised! / ET postponed from 13/12/10 to 14/12/10 Out of 14 only 2 were normal and both were boys - DEVASTATED!!!!
Cycle 2 - HRC - arrived in USA 4/17/11 and u/s 4/18/11 (ER postponed) / second u/s 4/19/11 /, ER postponed from 4/20/11 to 4/21/11 - 14 eggs retrieved, 12 mature, 12 fertilised, 11 sent for GSN, ET postponed from 4/25/11 to 4/16/11 - only one normal emby but xx - BFN! :(
