When to do HT

Hi, im not sure what to do. Have had our consultation with Dr P and was planning to do pgd for a girl in October, i am 36 in a couple of months and DH is 33. DH only wants to do one cycle, so im thinking should i wait to see if MS is approved next year, say around feb, or just do this year (as will already be 36) Has anyone had any updates on MS? could it never go ahead or is it likely it will get approved? It really has hit home just recently reading posts, that i may never get my daughter that i so long for, HT is such a gamble and with DH only wanting to do one cycle means chances are even slimmer. Thanks everyoneMx

I wouldn't wait long. I don't know a lot about the status of MS, but from what I've read on IG, it doesn't sound promising. I would worry about waiting around for it, and wasting precious months or years of your fertility.

We often see that the ladies who are closer to or beyond 40 can struggle with the number of eggs retrieved, or the quality. Since you will only be able to cycle once, I would want to take advantage of your still relatively young age. Good luck with deciding and cycling!!

Honestly, even at 30 I would not wait for MS, because who knows how long it will take to get approved, if at all. At 36, each year makes a difference fertility-wise, so I would cycle as soon possible.

My advice is always as soon as possible.  I would never wait for MS, although I do see why you would want to use it.  AGE is the #1 indicator of IVF success.  Good Luck in making your decision.

Do it ASAP.  They were making it sound like approval was coming "any day now" back when I was planning my two failed MS/IUI cycles two years ago.  Don't wait.  Who the heck knows when/if it's going to happen?
