Im glad this thread has remained "unlocked". I think we all deserve to air our own option on this topic.

S0.. its seems over the last few (plus) months, the "owner" of this site has NOT been responding to ANY complaints and website issues.

I have been keeping an eye on the "site owners" log on details and have noticed that who ever has Maureens log-in has been logging in over the last few months. (however, I do note that they have not logged on for the last month). Therefore they should be well aware of the current issues.

I dont know what is going on... but Im sorry...I strongly believe if a site owner is not actively managing THEIR website, especially when there are so many issues at hand, I whole heartedly believe that "rules" like spaming should go out the window.

I mean... if the site was actively being managed, there would be no need for alternative sites. Would there?

CC- With all due respect...I think you should let the girls post freely regarding their new websites.. or Maybe you might know what is really going on with the site owner?

For what it's worth, I think that this rule should be flexible given the unexpected turn of events with this website.  If others are creating websites to provide a forum in the event that this one goes under, I personally think they should be allowed to do so.  When the spamming rule was implemented, I am sure that Maureen could not predict that events would unfold as they have.  I suspect that if she were here today, she would be ok with people doing what they need to do to step in and help the situation.  She has always been reasonable and well-intentioned.  Just my two cents.

I totally agree with CharlieCats. Although Maureen is not around to "manage" the site daily. She has let us know that she is trying to fix the problem. Even though it has not happened overnight, or in the time frame we would all have hoped. We still need to show respect by supporting IG on IG. I understand that everyone is fed up with the "monkeys" and "babies", but I also know that at one time In-Gender was an incredible site, and still is in my opinion, and we need to do the best that we can to keep it that way. But more importantly, lets not forget that if it wasnt for Maureen, and In-Gender no other "gender" website would be as fruitful. We need to give respect to those who deserve it, even if it isn't in our time and place.

I'm not sure of the relevance of following forum rules and the location of the site owner? That's like saying your babysitter can let your kids do anything, as you are away.

If forum rules are not followed, then the site will degrade into chaos. So, if I disregard this rule, should I also disregard the spam posts made by all the people selling their gold jewellery, strollers and so forth? How about I let the stuff about kiddie porn stay?

As it stands, all In-Gender forum rules will stand, unless there is a directive from Maureen to change them. These are not my rules, I am following them as a Forum Leader and as a contributing member of In-Gender, which everyone here is.

I am by no means saying not to join these sites. Feel free to contact these people via their email addresses, and join their sites. They have all worked very hard making them, and have all done a great job.

One last thing--please follow the rules-I have asked everyone to remove websites from their signatures, which is a rule that is clearly stated. I will be asking all the people with Etsy in their siggies as well. Otherwise, you risk having all your posts removed by a Forum Leader.
