I love Bill Bryson. He is my all time favorite author. I was just curious if anyone here has read his books.....and if so what you think of him. BUT please if you don't like him, PLEASE don't bash him too hard. I've met him and we've corresponded a few times so I really do admire him.

Mother tongue is my least favorite of his books. I met him at a book reading and signing for At Home. He such a great guy. My favorite book is In a Sumburned Country- about his travel across Australia.

I have only read one book by him, A Walk in the Woods. I grew up in New England and have always had the dream to hike the Appalachian Trail, so I *really* enjoyed the book. He is a talented writer and very funny. I'll have to read "Sunbuned Country"!
