Dr. Wilcox or Dr. Potter?

I left a message with Huntington Reproductive Center on Tuesday about the free consult offer with Dr Potter and they called me back today!  

I explained to them that the gold is not working and can I still get the free consultation?  They told me that they have not heard any complaints about gold memberships and that I would still need to provide them with a reciept that I bought gold before they can do the free consult. Otherwise anybody can say they have gold membership when really they never paid.  I understand what they are saying but this is very frustrating

So then I asked them if any other doctor has a free consultation offer, specifically Dr. Wilcox because he was our first choice. They told me no - only Dr Potter has the free consult and with anyone else I would have to pay the full amount.

Now I'm not sure what I should do? Pay for the gold membership that I probably won't get, but get the free consult with Dr Potter, or just pay for the consult and have it with Dr Wilcox who we were thinking about all along?  Has anyone had any success here with Dr. Wilcox?

When you pay for Gold membership an Transaction number is created by the system. That is the number they are asking for. I gave mine when we consulted with them.

For your other question. I have not heard about Dr Wilcox till now. Every one prefers Dr Potter.

I think it’s still worth to pay for gold & get the ID so that you can have a free consultation & can save 300 $. (though you don’t get any gold features or advantages in IG, But that’s ok right?)

Yes, I see what you are saying. I'm trying to save money everywhere I can. 

Do I need to provide a credit card number?  Has anyone ever had more than the $12 charged?  I'm just nervous about buying something that doesn't work and then having problems with the credit card company.

Yes you need a credit card for payment & NO there was never an issue with charging more than 12 $.

No I just called the Fullerton Office directly.

Also I'm still waiting to hear back from the financial department. No one has called or emailed me any financial info yet. How long does that usually take?

If you contact them through there website it might take some time.

So try to call Nancy directly. I talk to her for all the financial questions. Though she is in GIVF. HRC told me to contact her.

In the overall scheme of things $300 isn't much...  I know it helps but it can't be the deciding factor.

That said, I had my consult with Dr Potter so long ago we paid!  The gold offer was not out then!

Nobody has any experience with Dr. Wilcox? 

I'm surprised because he had a lot of good reviews on the HRC website.

I would not worry about the money in the whole scheme of things if initially you were inclined to go to Dr. Wilcox.... go with your gut. I cycled a couple times with Dr. Potter and know people that cycled with him AND Dr. Wilcox and they said he had great bedside manner. Wish I would have followed my gut and gone to him as well.

oh, did your experience with Dr Potter not go very well then? 

My first inclination was Dr Wilcox but everyone here says Dr Potter is the Dr for gender selection, but some ladies over in another thread said their consults with Dr Potter did not go very well and he was distracted and not very focused. Now the gold is cancelled and I can't get a free consult even if I wanted one.  Not sure what to think.
