The ongoing twiddling of thumbs conversation: December edition

Thanks everyone.  I even told HB in the car on Saturday as we were driving that I wasn't pg.  I haven't even had the time to tell him yet as he got home late last night!

FRER isn't as dark as I thought it would be but still a faint 2nd line.  I'll try to take a pic later this morning after the rush to get everyone out the door is done.  Good thing I don't work Mondays or I would be getting nothing done today!!

ChelseaRae, I had brown spotting at 9dpo and since I was already convinced I was out, I was 99% sure I was out.  I know if was brown and you had red, but just saying - you never know.

I thought this but it's bright red and it was a *TMI WARNING* big gush of it after I went pee. I had to put a tampon in and will check in an hour or so.

I'm sorry ChelseaRae,  I really hope it is implantation bleeding, but if it's bright red and there's that much, it's probably not too likely - has happened to some people though, so I guess you can't rule it out.  I've been looking at your chart again, and your previous one and a few thoughts come to mind -

- I am wondering if you O'd even earlier than you thought?  due to your erratic temps, you may have O'd closer to CD14.  do your cycles tend to be fairly regular? I notice your O day was CD13 on the last chart

- you should try to look at whether it is your temping timing/technique that is contributing to the erratic temps - are you placing the thermometer well under your tongue when you take it, keeping your mouth closed, etc?  Is it the same time every day (more or less)?

- I would strongly recommend using OPK for you - your cycles are longer than 28 days, and with the erratic temps, it's nearly impossible to tell where you O'd this month.  Especially if you're looking at doing O+12, it's really crucial to know when O is COMING, not when it has already passed (as the temps will tell you).

- the faint bfp you saw could have been a chemical pregnancy.  It happened to me 2 cycles before I got pg with DD.  For me it was when AF was due.  I had a faint positive and then the next morning when I tried again, it was negative, and then AF came.

ChelseaRae – I think Mel has given you some great suggestions.  I would also add to temp in the same place in your mouth each morning  - for example – I temp on the right hand back side of my mouth under my tongue.

toddsweezie -  you mentioned that you might be able to TTC in December again – is that still a possibility?

Grace – you gotta give me more than 1 temp!!  How am I supposed to stalk properly??

AFM - feeling a bit nauseaus, but not sure if that's in my head or not though.  Tested with dollar store and again more confirmation.  I just can't believe it.  O'ed on my oldest's birthday, tested pos on HB's birthday and due 3 days before my mom's birthday.

So, I've been a bit MIA for the weekend, busy, busy. Big huge congrats to the girls with BFPs - Dream4Pink, Kitten, Baby_Maker! I'm wishing you a healthy 9 months and sticky beans! Grace - Glad you're feeling better, hope you are able to get in alot of BDing as we get close to O. Any yes, I have been keeping the engagement and the TTC from my mum. I'm very excited about making the big announcement this coming weekend. AFM - Just waiting for O in the next 3 or 4 days. But to keep all the bases covered we are just planning on BDing every day now until after O. Do any of you girls with BFPs have any technique suggestions? Just wondering how to keep the swimmers in there and how long it takes for them to get there. Happy Monday everyone!

Chelsea, I hope you aren't having a chemical.  Hang in there, and take it easy.  i had bleeding with most of my pregnancies (all the ones that STUCK--the ones that didn't stick, 4 of them, didn't really have any bleeding until they were on their way out ;( )  SO positive vibes for you, relax and take the day off work and just chill.  I hope you called in sick or something and stay off your feet as much as possible.  You may just need to take it easy for a few days to help that little bean stick!!! Congrats again and fx! We are here for you for whatever!

AFM, yes we might still have the chance of TTC in december MAYBE.  Big maybe, but its looking more favorable.  

I have been trying to post congrats to all since last night, but keep getting errors.  All morning too, I sure hope this posts!!!  I've been at it for 30 minutes now so one more huge CONGRATS to ALL the MAMAS!!!!!

Hooray, Kitten & Baby Maker (living up to your name)!!!  Kitten, i get a lump in my throat thinking about the significance of this pregnancy.  so happy for you both and wishing you a nice & easy pregnancy.

AFM - i thought pregnancy was supposed to make us glow and our hair/skin/nails gorgeous.  meanwhile my skin is broken out, hair is like straw, and i just look sick.

i'm so happy to see these BFPs roll in.  keep 'em coming!!

 My only tip is to DTD lots lol. Although both my boys were OHW, conceived way before O. My chemicals were conceived when I dtd closer to O, don't think there is any correlation though, that's just coinidentally what happened to me. This little bean was a two/three day cut off. I really hope this is the month for BFPs, I still can't believe I've got mine. I had to check again by POAS today. Gonna order some ebay cheapies so that I'm not wasting loads of money each time I pee on one. 

Mel ...I can't believe u have to pay for uls pictures. I am an uls tech @ a hospital in Illinois and have never heard of charging for pictures. I give out tons at least 20 when I scan 20 weekers.

I did have really bad back pain earlier, I was hoovering, and the hoover is on it's way out, I had to stop it was so painful. My back has been really playing up this 2WW.

Mulva, I get the same crap when pg....no glow, no lustrous hair, nothing. When pg, I look like a 16yr old that hasn't showered in a month. And nothing works on the acne either....at least nothing you can use while pg. I hope you are feeling well, though!

AFM, am 5dpo.....sorry no good stalking material! Temping makes me sleep poorly, because if I wake up at 5am or so and toss and turn, I worry that I messed my temp up and can't fall back asleep, then I just get stressed out. I sorta want to temp now in the 2ww, but it will just make me obsess. Feeling the same, whatever....not hopeful, but focusing a lot on work right now (you know ballet companies have Nutcracker Hell for December). DH is doing his sample early next week if no bfp. Eh, not much else to report. Oh, I feel a bit swaynostic this month, as two of our blue crew's girls found out pink again.....makes me wonder if some women are indeed just wired to attract either x or y sperm....I feel for them, but they are happy for healthy babies. I barely swayed anyway, makes me think I'll have DD3 if I get pg.

I thought I would have more blood after I posted but low and behold.. Nothing. I was so shocked!

I have 7 tests left and I think I am due AF on the 12th.

Chelsea, so glad spotting stopped...hope that's it for 9 month ;). Lola, I hope I o'd. My te,ps usually go up more than this. I ran out of opk's and the last one I took on the nite of cd10 was pretty close. I had to run out to a party and when I came home it was +, but a cheap dollar store one that might turn darker after the read time? Anyway, I was just like screw this I never used a opk with my other 3 and got pg no problem and since bd thru o I didn't buy anymore. Now, I'm second guessing that. Oh well, we will see at least dh and I burned a lot of calories this wkend, regardless. Good news, first month we didn't have to use lube, ever. I guess the homeopathy and yoga helped that area, tmi! Hope this is your month and I'll have to give you my boy grocery list sometime if you don't get your bfp this month. I raised my ph for ds3 not knowing it swayed. Just doing it for health reasons and probably why he was a ohw!

Forsuch, I hear you, your temps don't look very biphasic yet, but who knows....you did get a + and I don't think they turn darker unless they are + but who knows.....but your ewcm is a good indication that you were o'ing! And prob why you have boys!!! Do you do any of that acigel/lime business? Anytime you'd like to share your boy diet, I would love to read! I'm a fairly healthy eater, lots of greens and such, but been eating a ton of red meat and potatoes with boy sway, which is yummy but made me fat . I gave up on checking ph as I just bought the strips and they appear to always be in a neutral area with urine. But yea, your homeopathy seemed to work well, girl!!!
