Stargirl is having...

Hi girls,

Firstly I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the amazing and undeserved love and support I recieved from all of you, it means so much and is helping a lot!   All your prayers and good luck wishes has been tucked away in my heart as I made my way to the doctor's so I went bravely!

Unfortunately it seems as though all the pink dust got lost along the way as the doctor confirmed that it's definately a boy, so I have to bury and tuck away my girly pink dreams it seems...   We will not be trying again so I will live from now on in a testosterone filled home with beautiful men all around me .

My baby boy is however beautiful and so very healthy, I don't think one can ask for more than that, and his "antics" put a smile on my face so that the feeling of loss wasn't that big a deal! How lucky can one be to have a truly beautiful, healthy and blessed baby on the way ? Even if it is not the particular gender you would have liked to have.... I can not wait to hold my amazing baby in my arms... still half way to go!

i am inspired to see you being so poitive about the news and it will hopefully help me wit mine tomorrow......if i were to find out....GULP!

i am really glad and i totally understand how you are feeling when you saw him i felt the same way with DS3 and i also felt the same way when i had my 12 weeks scan..although i was apprehensive and nervous at my NT scan projected ona 36 inch tv screen (as i was sure to see a very very clear boyish nub!!!!!) as soon as i lay there and the doc put the probe on me and i saw my baby the desire of a certain gender just dissapeared...i neveer could make out anything qwhich irritated me later as i felt annoyed i was too distracted with love seeing my baby on screen i felt i didnt look hard enough!!!.....seeing my baby as it was was so special so i am hoping like you i will just be happy to see my baby and hear the words that even it is a HE is healthy and i am doing really well.....

and to just add to your happiness having sons who have brothers to share their mischief with is an amazing amzing gift and blessing and there is nothing like it..!!!! your house will never be dull, there will be alot of goofy laughter and silly humour and boys definately keep you young and fresh and sexy in some ways cause being the only women you are adament you will look your best being the only princess!!!!

i think i wont be devastated for hearing it is another boy it is more so i will mourn that i will nver know what a daughter would be like...but i know this is not the end of the world and i have to pull mysefl together and just pass over this feeling of...loss..whihc i shouldnt feel casue how can you feel loss of somethign you never even owened in the first place right????

lots and lot so love!!! yas...and just to show you how goofy two brothers can act like here is a picture of my 2 eldest and the day they were being goofy..you can tell from their faces and eyes they are TOTALLY POSING for this picture!!!!!!!!LOL

in fact they were destroying my living room just before i got them to stand for this picture!!!note the little one!!!this is the look of...i am going to run off as soon as mum pressed click and carry one throwing mum's sofa cusions at my older brother and DESTROY HIM!!!!!!!!!

I think I can live with being the "Princess" of the house and I will definately get used to the idea .

I think the "loss" thing still exists even though you never had a baby girl in the first place. My husband put it so wonderfully last night, he said " It's the loss of your childhood dream and desire" ... I think he "gets" me too.... So I think it's okay to feel it but you also need to deal with it as you would with any other loss you experience. What makes this experience a bit easier to handle. I think is that with the loss also comes a BIG reward, even though it's not your dream "little girl", you still get to hold that squirmy beautiful little miracle in your arms and there's no bounds to the evergrowing love one experience for the rest of your life.

Thanks again for your support and warm wishes yas, I'm sure that whatever happens at your scan will turn out to be an absolute blessing that you will never ever forget!

I have to congratulate you on your beautiful healthy baby boy. I know you must feel blessed to have all these boys take care of one another and you. Your family will grow up to bring so many smiles in your face. I have an aunt who has 4 boys (who are between 28 and 18) and it is amazing how much they help each other and confide in one another. I am sure your boys will grow up the same. Soon you will hold your baby in your arms and I am sure he will fill that "loss" feeling with tons and tons of happiness!!!

Congratulations on your healthy, beautiful new baby boy :)  He is very blessed to have you in his life and I"m sure your DS will be so excited to have a baby brother.  ((HUGS))

Wow how beautifully put Stargirl about getting a big reward at the end even though he is the opposite sex to what you wanted its just wonderful to hear you say that as it put things into perspective for me. So I THANK you for your positive energy and I can sense that you are just beaming right now. So happy that your happy and congrats, it made my night reading your  post, boys truly are amazing. Best wishes to you and your little boy and enjoy the 2nd half of your pregnancy!

Congrats on your baby boy!  His brother will be thrilled to have him as well.  Your attitude about it is wonderful and inspiring!  When and if I get pregnant I will remember this post and draw on it when I get an US, too.  Best of luck and congrats again!

I am sorry that your dream of pink didn't come true, but huge congrats on your baby boy!  Your son is going to adore having a baby brother!

 Congratulations on your son.  I know when we found out ds2 was a boy, I wasn't sad like I thought I would be.  I had the same feelings as you on the u/s table.  And you will be the queen of the house!
