If there is a thread/s already on this topic, please feel free to re-direct me/drop a link, it would be much appreciated!

Anyway, anyone read any reviews or have a personal preference? Things like comfort, ease of use, variety etc?

I'm trying to put on my detective hat ahead of the game this time, instead of learning about awesome things well after they would be useful.

TIA!

What style do you like? Ring, wrap, pouch, etc?

My personal favorites are wrap styles like Bamboo Baby Wraps & lightly padded ring slings like Maya Wraps, etc.

I never actually used one with our son; I did not know about them until he was too large to fit in one.

I have been hoping to find a way to  "test" some before making any sort of decison, but just from a visual basis I like the ones that 'cradle' thebaby rather than have the baby 'sitting' (but again, I haven't tried or compared any physically, so it's hard to say).

Are any particularly more difficult/easier to use than other styles?

I look up the ones you said just to gauge (though just looking for the time being) thanks for the input :)

Moby Wrap - wins hands down for me each and every time.. I've tried a variety with my 3 children and this has been the best. Exceptionally comfortable for me and baby.. Great, even weight distribution and very secure - my little girl loves to be worn and it's an absolute pleasure to wear her..

I 2nd the Moby.  Definitely my favorite for newborn to over a year.  My DD still likes to be worn in the Moby.  Although it takes a little while to get used to the wrapping, they give good directions.  The best part is how it distributes the weight--I can still wear her for hours and she is about 22 lbs now.

I also like my Ergo, which I use for quick runs when I don't feel like wrapping, and also like the possibility of carrying her on my back.

The weight distribution sounds like a huge plus -- my toddler is only 37lbs (genetics!), so if I had found out about wraps & slings etc before recently he would have just been too large for them, so hopefully in the future we will get good use out of them!

Question to everyone, how often do you use the carriers, slings and wraps? all day? once or twice a day? only when you go out? My sister & I were talking about them & she brought up a good question, can you BF while using them? or is it only certain styles that allow for that?

I'm looking for a pattern to make a baby carrier. I would like a sling type one but I'm looking for anything I can use for a newborn. Please tell me where can get free pattern for baby carriers?
Thank you!

Baby sling is one of the best option to wear a baby. There are so many types of baby slings are available in the market a well as you can buy from online stores also to get best discount rate. But you have to keep ine thing in mind before choosing baby sling whcih is you have to first check baby's weight and heightand according to that you can buy.
