took 2 more tests this morning..need opinions...*UPDATE

hey girls, so I took digital initially, but am unable to keep these for scrapbooks..so i got 2 first responses..took one yesterday (mid-day)..showed immidiately...pretty dark.....got up to take one this morning using first morning urine expecting to see a much darker line and instead it was much lighter...what does this mean? I will also say that when I initially peed on it...it took a minute to get the liquid to run across the screen..usually its very quick that starts happeneing.....fluke test?!

Update: took one 5 min ago...darker! :) YAY.

all views..no comments...humm...read up and saw it could be chemical? I think I may just go get some more on my lunch break and see what they are like...I can't get a doc appt for a month! :(

I would think something may be wrong with the test if it took longer than usual for the liquid to take action across the test screen. I'll also say it's easy for our eyes to deceive us a bit if we are prone to worrying a lot. I had a scare where I was spotting so I went out & bought 4 more tests, taking them every morning for 4 days & most people say it was just me but I thought some lines were lighter than others too??? Everything turned out to be okay, I'm hoping all is okay for you too!!!

Oh, another thing. Someone told me they had heard that your 2nd urine of the day is actually the better one, so maybe that's why the test you took at midday was darker than when you used FMU?

Lets just say KY tests suck!! :) haha.

 I'm going to try to wait a few days then re-test.  For now I'm going to try to stay positive. Its funny how it can be such a shock (we were NOT trying..) but then when you think you are..something just changes....and then when I "thought" the line got lighter I got sad..:(. Thanks girl for the post!

I hope everything is ok.  Like you said, just try not to worry, and maybe re-test in a couple of days if you want to.  Take care.

I did EXACTLY the same thing as you when I was about 6 weeks and i was so worried- I had also kept some tests I had done over a week earlier and my later tests were much lighter than those as well. I posted on the Due in may 2011 page and was told a number of explanations- 1. the tests are designed to tell you whether or not you are pregnant, not how far along you are and therefore it is irrelevant how dark the lines are. 2. It is likely that the tests have varying amounts of dye in them that may affect the colour of the lines. I found the best reassurrance was to do a clear blue conception indicator test as it confirms roughly how far along you are- and there is no doubt in reading the result as it is digital words. Mind you- my best advice if to STOP testing- easier said than done- I did 12 tests in total during the first 6 weeks- I wish I had listened to everyone elses advice and just been content with the  BFP and missed period- that says it all!

Thanks honeymoonbaby!!! Your words have been a help. It makes sense. I'm not testing anymore I told my dh last night I promised...lol. I can't get into my dr for a while so I just like ANY line I guess. I'm debating on ONE more...the conception thing/test.
