Thank you soooo much for taking time to examine my shots!!! I am desparate... can you all tell??!!! The worst part, my hubby is not the emotionally supportive type (as with most men, I think) so I try to scale down my hopes/disappointments/desparation in front of him. I love this forum... so much estrogen support! I'm taking my hubby to get vesectomy this coming Friday (sorry TMI) as it was a mutual decision. I'm willing to sell my uterus (afterwards of course) if I get Pink results! j/k

If you are truly wanting a girl this bad, I think I'd wait on the V for DH if you are physically capable (age, health, etc.) & finacially capable of EVER having another baby..   You sound like you want this as bad as I do and to think you are SO CLOSE to finding out the gender, I'd hold off on V.. I know this may be none of my business, but you are literally within weeks of KNOWING what the gender of this baby is and if you have DH's V and then find out boy the next week or so, can you handle that? IYKWIM..  Sounds like a very emotional time and BIG MAJOR decisions..  But you know what's right in your life. I just know I wouldn't. Is DH's First appointment (Friday) just a consultation and testing date?  Or is it the actual "snip-snip" date?  Good Luck in whatever you choose. I hope this is your girl. My guess would be boy slightly...

No, this would definitely be our last whether it turns out to be boy or girl. I don't mean to dramatize my situation, but the fact is, we made our decision for V based on not wanting to stretch ourself too thin (attention, time, age, finance, balance, etc). I yearn for a girl and it's definitely a void, but I'll have to bury those feelings and hope for grand daughters if my prayers will not get answered (silver lining).

 

 

My reaction was the same, I thought NOOOO hold off the V... who knows? My mum had my little sister at 44, she was not planned either. I dont think I could even now go through with any kind of sterilisation... not until I am 45 or so..... But of course that is very personal, it just really hurts to think that you will not have another change to try....

My scan at around 12 weeks looked liked urs, one of my scans the nub looks like its at an angle just like ur second pic...ive had loads of scans at the fetal med department and all of them say girl..good luck :) x

I'm holding onto every hope when I browse through u/s pics posted that looks like mine in the "confirmed girls" forum (example- pippilongstocking). Can you please share your u/s so I can see???? I don't mean to offend any ladies on this forum, but one lady even made a comment about seeing a scrotum in my shots- I wonder if she's a professional u/s tech to be making comments like that. There's a lot of sensitivity and emotions at stake when mothers post for guesses. I know it's a solicitation for guesses and you have to take it with a grain of salt, but I know that if I'm not completely sure about something, I wouldn't make strong claims and accidently crush a mother's hopes and dreams.

Glad to know many women are in the same boat as I am with two sons and praying for a girl!

When you post for opinions, you have to be prepared to hear them, whether it's what you want or not. I'm not trying to be mean, but people are simply giving their honest guesses. There's only a few techs on this board and to keep bumping for guesses, you are surely gonna get a lot of amateur opinions. It's still very early.  You'll get that def. answer in a few short weeks. Hubby and I just had a private gender scan (appt at 4:30) today. U/S tech was very thorough. At first, baby was not in a good position so she made me take a walk back and forth to the bathroom to move the baby around. We tried it again .... still not in a good position so she got me to flip to one side and then got up and marched around again. Our baby wanted to keep us guessing. After 15 mins, baby was finally in a good position and we saw THREE LINES AND NO SCROTUM!!!! U/S tech said that she would give me 90% GIRL. I even asked her to triple check for scrotum development (made my poor hubby sweat). Here's two u/s pics for gender ID.... U/S techs out there, do I have your 90% girl blessings too????

Hi Elle, I never saw your previous potty shot (which looks really girly to me) but you latest pictures look girly from what I can make out and if your Tech was soooo convinced I am sure s/he was right! I am delighted for you, it feels great to get a little princess for our boys doesnt it?

The appointment was last minute and spontaneous- I was so glad that they were able to fit me in. We were fortunate to have two kind/accommodating U/S techs (NT, gender scan). The pictures she gave us are not as big and clear as I'd like it to be, but the monitors they had was a better visual and I got my hubby to look at the 3 lines every time she showed it to us so he can remind me when I'm in doubt- that we are expecting a girl!

I am so ecstatic to join all the mothers with several boys and finally getting a girl! Do you think I can start shopping for pink????

Forgive me ladies, I never thought this blessing could come our way so I need reassurance! Thank you for all the support.
