Due in October **Daily Updates**

Hello Ladies~

I think our board is a little quiet so I thought I would add this topic for daily updates.  The other Due Date Buddies have done this too.

AFM I'm SOOO tired of being pregnant.  My doctor thinks that I have pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome.  My hands are numb or tingling most of the time, especially my left hand.  The doctor said it should disappear once the baby is born.  I feel so swollen all the time.  Ella is constantly moving around and it's EXTREMELY uncomfortable.  I'm getting BH's all the time and I have pinching and stabbing in my cervix area.  I'm achy all over the place...sorry to sound so whiney, but I'm just ready to be holding a baby in my arms.  Pregnancy is SOOO much different in your 30's than in your 20's...ugh!!

Hang in there, momma! :)  I know what you mean about all baby's movements feeling uncomfortable now...it almost hurts when she moves now.

What a good idea to start this thread.  I agree, the board has kind of died.

My update for today....

The bad news: I'm feeling a bit down.  I had an appointment yesterday and was told by my doctor (whom I LOVE) that she has to undergo surgery the beginning of October and won't be back in to work until November.  I was fine in the appointment until she gave me a hug, and then I just broke down crying.  I know the chances of her actually delivering our baby wasn't a 100% thing (unless I was induced and it was scheduled that way...), but just knowing now that there is a 0% chance of having her there makes me a little sad.  Especially considering I've never met any of the other doctors.  I'm going to start seeing a different one in 2 weeks, and then start going weekly after that.  Just a little bummed out.  I don't know what her surgery is, but I hope it goes well.  She is such an awesome lady!

Good news: I'm proud of my weight gain thus far.  I had one bad week (over labor day and our anniversary), but overall I've gained 25 lbs. (I'm 35 wks).  I've been doing some brisk walking on our treadmill 4x a week for 30-45 min. and my DH and I have been taking walks outside in the evenings on occasion and it's been helping me feel good and keep the weight gain at a good level.  I have my last baby shower tomorrow -- so excited!  Can't wait to see my cousins that I haven't seen in so long and of course get all that great baby gear!

I'm definitely ready for her to be here....just want her to wait until she's 37 weeks though.  I am freaking out that we don't have a car seat yet.  I've been holding off because my DH said his work is giving us a $250 gift card to BRU and he thinks his man "shower" (lol) will be this Friday or next Friday.  Praying it's this Friday because I want to go use the 10% off the remaining items on my registry and the gift card.  If she comes before we have the car seat, my parents said they'd go pick it up for us.  Anyway, it's so close for us all! :)

BigStar I had 1 midwife give me all my pre-natal care for DS2, then when I went into labor it was another midwife who ended up delivering me- and the only one I hadn't even met out of the group of 4 midwives in the practice.  Good thing was I ended up really liking her.  I know that's a bummer though.

I am hanging in there.   My ankle has been a bit stiff, I think all the extra weight of pg plus I have broken this ankle before in the past...  guess it's a bit of a "bad ankle."  I am TIRED and hungry all the time now lol...  and wake up at least 3X/night to go pee!!   She is really pushing on my bladder I guess.  I drink the tiniest bit and I am off to the bathroom LOL.  A little bit of swelling but nothing like with DS1!!  I was a real puffball with him!  I basically have 5wks. or less and that's kinda hard to believe...  still gotta finish the nursery & MIL has a ticket booked to come out over Halloween as I'm sure she'll be here by then or at the very least- coming that weekend plus our boys want her here for Halloween (usually it's grandpa who comes for it).  I have everything I need for her, for right away at least...  I have the infant car seat/travel system from DS2 I'm going to use, then get the bigger car seat later on when she outgrows it...  the infant car seat is still good plus they only use them like 6mon. tops.

BigStar, my last C-Section was also done by another doctor, not my regular gyne! Still I have the regular gyne this time and am hoping that she does the C-Section this time. I have a confirmed date for C-Section, but everybody keeps telling me that the baby is not going to stay inside that long! I too am hoping that I have the baby early October and then hoping that my doctor does that C-Section as well....but that all is WISHFUL THINKING!!!!! Do not worry, you would be fine!

As for me, I have been keeping my Gestational Diabetes under control so far....I have been having lower back pain since morning.. so am home resting!! and counting days!!!!

Well today I'm feeling a little better than yesterday except I have a sore throat.  I had quite a few BH's yesterday and found it very hard to walk.  I hope these last few weeks go by quickly...this whole pregnancy has seemed to go fairly quick.  I think that's because I was finishing school and the boys' had their baseball games all summer.  I just want to meet her and VERY anxious to see what she looks like.  My boys are excited too.

On Monday my DH, my boys and I are going to attend a family/sibling class at the hospital to prepare the boys for the upcoming birth of their sister.  We get a tour of the birthing unit and they are there to answer any questions the boys may have.  I think it will make them feel like they are a part of it all and calm any anxiety that they may have.

My next dr appt is on Tuesday...I'm going every week now and I just had my Group B Strep test this last Tuesday.  I also had a cervical exam and I'm not dialated or effaced.  I never have been with my last 4 pregnancies.  I would love to early though...probably not going to happen.

I haven't been sleeping very well at all this last week.  I'm so tired all the time and I wish I could just sleep because I know that once she's here sleep will be nonexistent.

I just wanted to comment on the carpel tunnel.....I also had that with this pregnancy. My hands were so tingly all the time, especially at night when I was trying to sleep. I delivered on the 18th and they are still tingly. I am really hoping it goes away soon because it is so annoying. I was also told that it would go away after birth, but so far it hasn't.

My cousin had this too and she said it took a good 2-3 weeks to go away.  I have a feeling that this will be me too.  The good news is is that her's went away.

Hi all!  I am glad to see this thread.....I wanted to check in

I was hoping to have my baby on the 21st......he had other ideas

So I am STILL PREGNANT AND MISERABLE!!!!  Baby Cash is perfectly content in there!  Besides have dropped - NOTHING is happening!   Looks like I am going to make it to 39 weeks......I have a tentitive induction scheduled for the 28th, 5 days and counting, but I am really keeping my fingers crossed he comes sooner than that!  The full moon is on the 24th and I have a Dr. apt tomorrow morning.  I am praying my Dr. can sweep my membrane and that will put me into labor..... I NEED THIS KID OUT! 

 Ugh....anyway - doesn't the end of pg just suck!  I wish I felt differently, but I don't........I wish I enjoyed it, but I don't......I am at the point where I am wondering why on earth I ever thought I could be pg again and it would be different haha!  Guess the joy of another baby makes one forget this part

OK GOOD NEWS TODAY!

 Had an apt this morning and we have made lots of progress from Tuesday!  I am dilated to a 1 and progressing.  She was able to "cause some damage" in her words.......said I should have spotting and she would be surprised if I didn't go into labor today!  WOOHOO!  She definitly said she didn't think I would make it through the weekend so that's good

 I am having spicy food for lunch and then I am going to walk a mile on my tredmil.........I want this baby OUT!

 Hey ladies! I'm popping in from the Sept. DDB! I hope you don't mind! Almost everyone due in Sept has had their baby and I'm feeling so lonely! 

My due date is Monday, but unfortunately I really believe she's not coming then! I really wouldn't mind if she waited until October 1st - Matt and I really wanted an October baby and were supposed to wait one more month, but, well, you know how that goes. 

Alissa! Can't believe the time is SOOO close for your baby girl to come!!!!!!! I can't wait to see pictures and hear your birth story! Good Luck!

I wish I had the power to wait since I have also always wanted an Oct. baby, but I can't stand it anymore!  I am tracking contractions right now.......3 in the past 15 minutes.......I am really hoping I progress and baby boy #3 is here tonight or tomorrow!

I can't believe the time has come for both of us!! It's been a long road!!  You are definately welcome to come and hang out here.  I have my scheduled c-section in about 2 1/2 weeks.  I wish that she would come earlier...I'm getting really tired of being pregnant. This has been an extremely difficult and uncomfortable pregnancy.  This new added carpal tunnel syndrome is the icing on the cake...ugh!!  Today DH and I went around and got some things to finish our bathroom.  He is off tomorrow too and hopefully it will be FINALLY done after 10 months!!  I just want everything to be done before Ella gets here.  It's getting there.  These last couple weeks are going to drag...I want it to go quickly so I can finally see her.

I hope you are in the hospital now HotMama having your little one!!  GL to you!!  Keep us updated!!

So I see everyone talking on here I think I will too. I've been so uncomfortable lately. I have to pee all the time and I'm getting those sharp pains in my cervix, (at least it feels like that). Someone told me that it was a type of braxton hicks, but I really am not sure. I never felt it like this with my other ones. I'm ready for him to be here already. My legs also feel like they are always popping out of the sockets and it hurts so bad to walk at all, or even to roll over in bed. Has anyone else felt that? Is it normal? I am hoping my doctor will induce me early, well not really early at like 38 weeks. Has anyone else ever been induced around 38 weeks? Does it had to be a medical reason or will a doctor work with you because of your schedule? I have so much going on in October I'm afraid of going into labor at a really bad time. I hope everyone is doing better then I am. I'm due at the end of the month and it can't seem to come fast enough. I feel like the days are creeping by very slowly. The beginning went by pretty fast and now it just seems like time has stopped, LOL. I can't wait to meet this new little one. I have my next appt. tomorrow so I'm hoping they will work with me to set up a date to be induced, wish me luck, I think I may need it!

Thanks Alissa. Things are going very well.

My tingling has decreased quite a bit, but is not gone yet. I am only 12 day postpartum, so hopefully it will be gone in that 2-3 week time frame.

I cannot believe how close you are to meeting your little girl! I know you must be anxious and excited! Best wishes!

It's so good to see this thread.  I am ready to meet my baby now.  I'm so uncomfortable and can't sleep at night.  I spend my days analysing every little twinge, just hoping it's the start of labour.  I've got a membrane sweep booked for 9th October (my birthday) but would love it to happen before then.

How's everyone else doing?
