Our family Dr left....

 I'm sooo sad tonight.   I have sat here and cried and cried.  He has been my dr since I was 7 years old.  My grandparents, parents, siblings, the whole family saw him.  He is a young guy (I think in his late 40's).  He has gotten me through so much.  My grandfather went to the office today and saw another dr.  He asked when our dr was coming back the staff said he would not be back due to medical reasons. I feel so silly for sitting here crying over the doctor leaving.  I feel lost.  Do you guys get attached to your doctors too?

Oh yes, for sure.  My dr. is a family doctor and I was one of her first patients when I was in college.  She has been my doctor through all of my pregnancies and she is my kids' doctors.  She is fantastic; remembers details about my family, bends over backwards to get me in if my kids are sick or writes notes to the daycare if I need them; she even got me out of a subpoena once when I was pg!!  Everyone who knows her loves her; they tell me I am so lucky to have her for my doctor.  I would cry, too, if I had to go to another doctor.  You really can build a bond with your medical providers; after all they know about our most personal  issues.

I'm sorry your doctor will no longer being seeing patients.
