Maybe I've obsessed over one too many u/s (or had one too many half caffs!)
but that other pic doesn't look like a boy to me at all.
Even though you can't see the famous 3 lines, it's very clear that the genitalia is smooth and flush with the rest of the body - it doesn't stick out at all. If I were that tech I would've either kept trying to get a better shot than that, or said it was too soon to tell. I had an u/s at 16w with my 4th DS that went that way - baby was in a bad position, we caught a glimpse of what looked like possible 3 lines, but the tech said she just couldn't say one way or the other. Good thing she didn't because at 19w there was no denying it was a boy. Regardless, your u/s looks 1000x more boy than that one. Obviously mistakes happen, and I guess there's always that possibility for anyone, but with a shot like that I think it's highly unlikely and I wouldn't spend too much time stressing over it.
