scratching frequently everywhere

angcfl Florida Joined 10-09-2008 Posts 243	08-11-2010 8:16 AM angcfl I think in pregnancy the itching (with no rash, etc.) is due to something going haywire with the liver. I don't know specifics and have never had it, but have heard of moms who have and there is an enzyme or something that isn't working right during pg in the liver that can cause it. Definitely call your Dr.! Hope you get some relief!

My son was just induced at 37 weeks due to cholestasis. I was itchy everywhere but had no rash...I felt crazy. It could be something really minor but I would definitely call your OB.

...remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.

If you're only itching at night then I wouldn't think it is cholestasis. From what I've heard you itch all day with that. Hope your dr. tells you the same thing.
