CNN CONTACTED ME YESTERDAY - ATLANTA AREA NEEDED

Hi Ladies-

CNN will be posting a message on this board shortly (hopefully this weekend) but wanted to get the word out ASAP (as I promised them I would).

A reporter from CNN contacted me yesterday via phone to discuss getting a group of women together at my house next week for a group interview! I was so excited to see that they were serious about investigating it...I don't think you can get better media coverage than CNN, right??? Anyway, ANY and ALL women in the Atlanta area that are interested in being a part of this interview, please let me know. I hope that we can get it together for all of our sakes! :-)

CNN contacted me yesterday too.  I live in Locust Grove, which is about 30 miles south of Atlanta.  I told her I thought there were about 4 or 5 women in the Atlanta area.  I know Graysmommy is.  I will email her to see if she is interested.  Where do you live aprilbutterfly?  Anyone else in the area that is interested let me know.

Great! So glad to hear that she talked to all of you...she asked me if we could host it at our home. We're in Acworth (up 75N). I told her we'd be happy to do that as we have a rather large family room that would accomodate all of us. She suggested it would be better to do it in a home rather than a "sterile" environment. I have to agree...

I know GraysMommy is in Atlanta too - and someone named Heidi? (I think?)

I think the reporter is calling back early next week so let me know if you're interested in being in the group (you can PM me) and I'll be happy to help get it organized.

She asked about using our living room, too, but our living room is "cozy" and wouldn't hold too many people.  I told her they were welcome to use it if they thought it was big enough.  Also, I live in LaGrange, Georgia, which is about an hour south of Atlanta on I-85.  So I thought there would probably be someone a little closer to Atlanta  

I am at my mom's house so I am posting from her computer.....

Tell me all the details......when?.....it seems the where is set..........Kim e-mailed me and said she would be calling me on Monday. My heart is full of hope with the possibility of sharing these stories with women everywhere so that we can hopefully protect others and their precious pregnancies from worry and heartache!

I'm happy that there are so many of you near each other. That's great! ( My sister used to live in Locust Grove! Small world!)

We're 8 hours from Atlanta, and with Erin being induced this coming Friday, she has to stick close to home! ( Otherwise I know she would be HAPPY to drive up to  meet you guys and help out).

I'll be there.  I send you an email with my phone number for the details.  I am so excited that we are getting coverage from CNN!!!!  There is so much exposure now that it gives great hope that something can be done.  I live in Alpharetta!  I'll just have to know to get a babysitter for my two year old.

Thanks so much, girls. I have not heard back yet from CNN and realized that I did not write down the girls' name or number! (DUH!!!) She caught me at kind of a wierd time and I was so excited to hear from her that I flaked out on getting her contact info!

Did anyone else take her name and number? If so, please send it to me and I'll reach out to her today to see if we can get this thing scheduled this week.

I just talked to her and they are definitely interested in doing the interview this week, if possible, with all of us (including Danielle! YAY!) I just sent her 2 pictures of my family room to see if it would work.

The reporter's name is Mona and her email is mona.iskander@turner.com and her phone number is 212-275-8151. Please give her a call or email if you haven't spoken with her yet so that she can get our schedules coordinated. I told her the best days for me this week are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday afternoon or any evening. (Trying to be as flexible as humanly possible!)

Hey Girls!

I just got off the phone with CNN with an update --- they are going to TX for the interview/shoot b/c they have another story already planned there. She said they have been in touch with 4 women there with similar stories --- she's calling me back to give more details. I don't know if it's 4 people from this forum or not?? Anyway, just happy that they are covering the story!!!

I'll give you more info once I hear back from her.
