just wanted to share this e-mail w/ you all and see what you think. I think they received a few complaints about their product's accuracy. What do you think of this? Read below.

Consumer Genetics, Inc. is attempting to assess its quality assurance processes over the last few months. We hope to measure our accuracy and identify areas that need attention.

We are offering a $50 gift card to BABIES “R” US to customers who participate in our ongoing quality assurance survey.

All you need to do is submit a copy of one of the following documents: 1) your ultrasound scan performed after 21 weeks, 2) a chorionic villus sampling (CVS) result, and/or 3) an amniocentesis result signed by your healthcare professional. Documents received without any of the following information: the customer’s name, kit ID, address, the appropriate healthcare professional’s signature, and the result will be considered invalid. I think they received more than a few! TMPOB is a waste of time, IMO. I think it'd be just as accurate to walk up to someone on the street and ask them to tell you what the gender of your baby will be.

That's a pretty interesting email,  I did my test back in Sept.  I wonder why I don't get to participate?

just e-mail or fax them your ultrasound if you can have the 20 week one before December 1st cause that's the deadline as it says. If you are far enough in your pregnancy it should work out for you as well. Where did you order your TMPOB kit? Maybe it was a different site.

I went to the website www.tellmepinkorblue.com  which I think is consumer genetics.   I did my test sept 11.  I had a boy result and two girl ultrasounds since.           I'm about 17wks now, and have another ultrasound nov. 6 at 19wks.  I would have to pay for another one after that, which would be a later than 20wks, wouldn't really be worth the 50 dollar gift card.      When did you do your test?   results? ultrasounds?

Did my TMPOB test Sep 23 and got a boy result one week later via e-mail, but never received an actual certificate in the mail. I'm about 14 1/2 weeks and will have my 1st ultrasound at week 20 (for any additional ones I'd have to pay extra as well). Consumer genetics wants one performed after 21 weeks in order to give away that gift card. I'll just send in that one from week 20 and see what comes. Hope your next scan will confirm the two previous ones and you will get a full refund from TMPOB.....and most importantly have the little girl you're hoping for.
