WATCH VIOLET AND I ON WORLD NEWS TONIGHT!!!!

I'm the Phoenix reporter who's been posting and reading on this site for the past three weeks or so.  Last night our story on BGM ran.  It can be viewed online at abc15.com.  Click on "The Investigators" in the upper left corner of the home page and select the story. (It's called Pregnancy Predictions.)  I'd be interested in your comments. 

Also- I'd like to talk/email with any women who were told more than the wrong sex of their child.  If you were told by Wang (or someone from his company) that your child would be born with a genetic disorder/birth defect, please contact me.

3 different stories from ABC on the same day with different "facts".  Is it 16 women or 40 women or 50 women in the suit?  Has it been filed or is it about to be filed?

I wondered about the "16" and "40 " too, but shoot, I'm just glad it came out on a WORLD news thingy !!!!

I think it might be 16 class action reps, and 40 or 50 total class action members.  But don't quote me on that.

Melissa, The segment was great!!!!  I called my mom to tell her it was coming on and her and I both agreed that if we were only given 2 hours to get ready, get a newborn ready, and prepare to be interviewed on national news, we'd have been a complete wreck!  You looked great and did such a wonderful job!  Your willingness to put yourself out there for the sake of keeping other pregnant women from heartache is just an amazing thing.  I hope only good things come your and Violet's way from now on!  Jill

Thank you girls!!!  I was very nervous!  My house was a wreck when I received the call.  I also had to clean and get a babysitter for my sick three year old.

There was alot more to that interview that they did not use.  Such as me getting an amnio b/c Wang told me to.  Also, that all my babies chromosomes were checked before and after birth and tested fine.  Also the message I gave to all woman considering taking the test...

All in all it was good.

good job melissa!  it just got done airing here in los angeles.  violet is soooo purdy just like her mommy!!!

i have a feeling this is JUST the start of something big for us.......

You were very brave to do that on National Television...and it came out WONDERFULLY! Thanks so much for helping to get the word out!! You did FABULOUS!

I also watched your story on World News Tonight. It was a great story! Finally, BGM will get the negative attention that it deserves. I also was told by them that I was having a boy, but I am actually having a girl.

Melissa, you did such a great job.  I was very happy with the piece even though it was brief.  I am sure that it cast some doubts in the minds of women who were considering taking the test.  I couldn't help but wonder what the folks at BGM were thinking while they watched it air on national television.  Great job!!!!  Lora

Maureen last week when I talked to someone at the law office, she said that there were 16 women.  Don't know about whether it's been filed.  Maybe we'll piece together the actual number.  She was still looking for more women interested.

Wow!  Our local news channel in Iowa even carried the story this morning!  Our local anchor talked about the story and then they showed your segment!  I was so happy that it was even getting coverage in my little corner of the world!
