any family member/friend even add to GD?

I am just curious as I see alot of ppl talking about SIL's,Sisters,friends and or family member/s going on to have the desired gender and be quite obnoxious about it? If thats the case can you share you stories of who it was and what they did? I did have this happen...I was preggo w/my 2nd son and my SIL was pregnant with her first daughter(the only grandaughter on my hubbies side) it was rough to see the over abundnace of attention her baby/she got...the talk of princess and the amazement of "Oh the first grandaughter after so many boys!" hurt like hell and she loved to remind me of it too..(even tho funny enough no-one knows I ever wanted a girl but my mom...I have a good poker face too) She assumed I wanted one because I had so many boys. Our babies resembled each other at birth I mentioned that and she said"Ya but shes a girl." "He cant wear pink." "Shes my princess." Its funny how she has a son who she blatantly doesn't care as much for as her DD which makes it worst...her typical gender stereo type comments "Ughh boys are so rough and rude." "Oh hes a boy I don't care what he wears." (and it shows!) It has tamed some since my news...she ended up having another boy which she prayed for another girl with. So I feel sorry for him. Dh's family unknowingly made it worst...the whole everything pink and princess gifts,her being grandpas princess, always referring to her as the princess...ugghh...the things I have had to DEAL w/ that... I am surprised I am not insane!(maybe)

Well it was more than just GD I was dealing with, it was miscarriages as well at the time.  You see 2 years ago I had 2 miscarriages in a row while trying to sway boy.  This was after 3 girls in a row.  Then not long after that my one SIL announced she was pregnant with twin boys.  Not too much later my sister found out her first baby was a boy, that she half swayed for.  And my other SIL announced she was pregnant but wasn't finding out until the birth, I was so sure it would be a boy (although it was a girl).  Meanwhile another SIL of mine (yes I have a lot of SIL's) knew she was having a girl for her first, but that's what she wanted.  So everyone else seemed to be pregnant but me and many of them getting what I or they wanted.  It was so hard sitting there at Christmas hearing them talk about their pregnancies while I was hurting so so much.  After that I tried swaying for months before I finally gave up on swaying and got pregnant with DD4 in April.  I felt so sorry for myself but everything was brought into prespective when reality set in for all of them.  One of them lost their baby then lost a second pregnancy in one year.  The one with twins has had so many health problems with them, and now she has gotten all of her kids taken away for being a crappy mother.  The other one wants another baby so badly but has a horrible husband.  And the last one's kid is such a brat and they struggle so much financially and with trying to find good work.    

wow! how many bro's do you have?! lol! lots of sils to love or drive u nuts...I only have one and one maybe sil soon. I hope you quest for a boy ends with triplet boys...heres my blue dust! I am sorry about your losses...I have had 3 first trimester ones my self(one was twins)

For me my sil's are wonderful so is my sis. The by far worst person is my DAD and my MOM they drive me crazy. So far I heard if its a boy were taking a girl home from the hospital, it just has to be a girl, if its a boy i will sew a gunny sack together as a blanket. I just want to slap the piss out of them for such old farts they sure do act immature.
