Questionable Due Date

 So I was reading the OLDEST posts from Dec DD.. from back in March, LOL. My BFP post...

My "dating" U/S said the same as you....1 week behind the date I thought.....BUT, I was charting, so I know EXACTLY when I O'd and when my LMP was.....that means when I have my section, I willonly be 4 days before my actual DD, and the doc thinks it's 12 days before my actual DD....who's right???

The dr's and midwives don't seem to take any notice of LMP or O date (apart form the initial booking in session).  They do everything on the 12 week scan as they say that is the mosdt accurate for predicting when you will actually drop.

I've given up with EDD's.....I keep telling people I have 2 weeks, or anything up to 5!!   I of course would rather it be 2 weeks and shall also be living in that fanasy world of two weeks!

I hate hate not knowing. I always get an innicial jealousy for those who know when they are going to be induced or having their c-sections.. then realize that path maybe easier because they know the date.. but being induced HURTS and  c-sections have harder recovery and I shouldn't be feeling this way.

but yeah.. I could go.. today (doubtful) or in 4 weeks.. 

I also have that 'exact date' jealousy.  I wouldn't want to be induced or a c-section....but at least you know vaguely when you're going to have the baby........the waiting feels like tha worst bit!.

I heard of a friend of a friend today who is due the same day as me who has a transverse baby and is going in to hospital to get a date for a birth.  I found myself thinking to myself 'jammy b*tch"   and then quickly trying to keep a check on myself...it's the poor girls first baby and she really didn't want a section....but still can't help myself thinking these things!

I would think that knowing your ovulation date would be the most predictable. I think a pregnancy is about 266 days from that.....if it is the u/s, I had my first at 8+ weeks and it gave me Dec. 1st as a date. From my LMP, it is Dec. 2nd. A diff. of one day.

With my 2nd, she was due Oct. 1st (on her first u/s) and came Sept. 18th. Gee, buy that same luck, Maddie could come today! Doubtful though, I don't feel any different. On a good note, I actually slept pretty well last night, and pain free!!!!!!

well Im similar I have been measauring like 2 weeks ahead the whole time from about 20 weeks even though my scan said date I have been given but whn the midwives measuring me they keep saying your feel like 2 weeks ahead so Im hoping im really 37 weeks not 35 as I also cant be sure of my lmp date so it would be nice to go 2 weeks early thats for sure cheers Tanya

I know what you meen its so annoying!!!  My lmp due date should be the 16th,  Dating scan the 24th wth.  Then the perientologist told me the 21st.  Baby is now measuring at lmp the 16th,but there still saying the 24th.  After I get ready for baby this weekend I'm doing a ton of walking and seducing my DH alot:)

 LOL... seducing DH.  I tell him it's now or never.. because once she's here, it'll be 6 wks before he'll get any action again, LOL.
