So I lied today and....

Someone asked me if I was having a boy or girl. I lied, said I didn't know. She (no kids) said, "You aren't finding out!!" Ohh, I hope you don't have a boy. If you have a boy, you should put him back." I pretended to smile.

SERIOUSLY? It's like rubbing GD in to the core.

WTF!! Some people dont even think before opening their mouths.

OUCH! Why would people say such things?? Seriously, I have 4 boys... none of them make me wish I didn't have a boy.  I just happen to "also" want a daughter.  I do not understand why people feel the need to open their mouths when stuff like that comes spouting out of it. 

Why would someone say that?   Please tell me it was a 8 year old girl.

OMG!  Don't worry about the lying part, DH and I did it for 7 weeks until we could get it confirmed.  It's often much easier to just say you don't know...but I never got a comment quite like that, even though I do have 3 boys already.  If it makes it easier to deal with, keep it to yourself until you are ready or until the baby comes.  I would have, but DH was uncomfortable for the whole time.  I wish I had other words of wisdom for you.  (((HUGS)))

My MIL said the same thing to me when I was pregnant with #6 (if it's a boy tell them to put him back).  Of course this was before my u/s so I'm not sure what she meant exactly as the baby wasn't actually coming out at that moment......   What a stupid comment!!

It's scary how many insensitive idiots there are in this world.

All I can figure is that people are insensitive or jealous.  I say lie all you want to, they don't deserve the truth.

That is just crazy people say that kind of stuff to you. Honestly in my sons nearly 4 years no one has ever made a comment like that, and when I was pregnant all I heard was how great it would be to have a baby boy.

This made me laugh :) Anyway, don't pay any attention to her childish comments, little boys are great....and they love their mommas

Starlight that is what happened with me. All I heard was how great it was having little boys and how much fun I would have with him. I have never ever ever not once had someone make a comment about his gender that was out of line. I know you are not excited about having a little boy but let me tell you, he will melt your heart and all these bad feelings you have will go away! I promise. Yesterday my almost 4 year old Trevor and I were talking about the new baby I am carrying. I asked him what should we name the baby? Trevor says "how about gift?" I said "Why gift?" He said because the baby is a special gift and the best present ever" He melts my heart every single day. He loves me so much and looks out for me. One time a little girl at the park smacked and through sand at me. Trevor went up to her so upset and said "Dont you ever hit my mama!" Then he was so concerned about me. Seriously little boys are so special and dont let anyone else try to tell you that they are not!

You should just blink at her stupidly, point to your belly and say, "Oh this? It isn't even real!" Then proceed to talk to your belly. 

Oh I would love to see the look on that woman's face......
