my vaginal readings seem to be higher than everyone elses....

this is my first cycle using the Ovacue and here are my readings so far...

I have been stalking everyone elses posts and nobody else seems to have these high of vaginal readings...i do normally take in a lot of salt..could this be it?  or is my vaginal sensor bonkers...my cycles are 29 days, so far the Ovacue has stated my cue peak was found, i currently have 5 bars and it says my max fertility will be day 12 to 12...do you think this is accurate? or could day 8 be another cue peak?

anybody's input is welcome...:)

I just thought I'd pop in and mentions that the Manual I have for the Ovacue says that if you get a vaginal reading over 400 to reposition the sensor and take another readinf immediatley. I'm thinking you may have a defective sensor. But I've only been using mine for about 10 days now, so I'm reall new at it too.

i tried that and never get a reading below 400...maybe i will have to call tomorrow...that sucks:(  thanks though!

 Stick the sensor in water and see what the reading is.  Then put a dash of salt in the water and see what the reading is and then dry it off and take a reading holding the sensor in the air.  You should get all sorts of readings doing it that way.  If your readings are still over 400 after the sensor is tested then that could be your normal number even though they say anything over 400 is an error.  

well it looks like my my sensor is kaput!  that really stinks....its acutally my sisters (don't judge) so i don't know if i can call, or i probably just need to buy a whole new one...so i edited my numbers and it looks to me like i had another cue peak on Day 8.....would you agree?  And since i don't know anything about temping,, should i try to learn and do that for the next week to see if i can confirm ovulation?  what do you think? the reason i ask is sometimes you say that ovacue only recognizes 1 cue peak so sometimes you gotta ignore the messages....man this is so hard!

 CD8 is your Cue Peak but I would call Zetek and tell them your sensor is broken and see what they say.  You can tell them you purchased it from your sister and they will be able to look up her information.  It is worth a try anyway.

Taking your temp is super easy.  If you don't wake up at the same time everyday you will need to set an alarm so that you do wake up at the same time everyday.  I would set my alarm for 5am and take my temp half asleep and then go back to bed until it was time to get up for work.  That way I knew everything would be accurate for me.  You also need at least 3 hours of consective sleep so keep that in mind as well.  The thermometer that you need is called a Basal Body Thermometer and they sell them at Walmart.  You can take your temp vaginally which is the most accurate or you can do the good old stick it under your tongue method.  Either one works fine but I always did the temp by mouth.  You can start now since you haven't ovulated and this will help you to know when you did O.

and what i am looking for is a spike in temp? of how high?  and also would you say that i should ovulate on day 14 or 15?  thank you so much for your help...i know you get asked these questions alot!

 I would sign up for a membership at fertilityfriend.com.  You can record your temps there and it will give you red cross hairs when your temp spikes up.  You do need 3 days of consective high temps in order for you to get the crosshairs but it takes the guess work out of everything.  Here is a good guide to go by for when you will O based on your Cue Peak.

When your cue peak is on day 4-5.....you will O on day 13
When your cue peak is on day 6-7....you will O on day 14
When your cue peak is on day 8-9.......you will O on day 15
When your cue peak is on day 10-11.....you will O on day 16
When your cue peak is on day 12-13 ....you will O on day 17
