*not gender swaying related....just a general post about in-gender vs thebump*
Oh my gosh.....I just went to thebump.com's forums and realized why
I stopped going there in the first place. The majority of the women on
those boards, please excuse the language, are bitches! Not everyone,
but I was amazed at all the cat fights going on. I just love
coming here knowing that I'm not going to be judged for what I say. No
joke, there is a post on one of thebump's boards and it turned into a
"who is a better parent" competition over what people feed their
children for breakfast!!! *rolls eyes* Really. So many of the people
over there remind me of why i hated high school. Anyone else feel that way about those boards too?? I remember one time I asked a gender swaying question (before i found IG) and got my head bitten off by women who judged me saying I should just be happy with whatever God gives me (and I will be happy either way), but it was just the fact that they don't understand and are rude. So THANK YOU to everyone one of you on here for being kind, considerate, understanding, supportive, and MATURE! :) You are appreciated!

ITA, IG is the only place I go. I can't deal with drama. It's amazing how well everyone gets along here. I love IG

Here everyone is trying there best to lend a helping hand, it makes educating yourself so much easier. Everyone brings and shares what they know, and we have Tamara to look over all of us and kindly guide us in our time of question, this is truely a wonderful experience in itself. there is always someone who is going through the same thing or trying the same technique you are,it is the greatest. I love it here, and don't venture many other places any more. Thanks for letting share my excitment, thanks for starting this thread. Good luck to all

I used to go to a pregnancy website but honestly, the last two years or so it changed and isn't nearly as friendly as it used to be... I can't be bothered with all the prejudices and drama and then when they made a seperate website just so they could slag other people off - I pretty much don't go there much anymore... Just pop in and out now and then. IG is my permenant home now and has been for awhile!

ITA. I used to post on Mothering.com, and you would think that being a crunchy, natural birth, non-circing, non-vaxing type mom, it would totally appeal to me, but I tired of it really quickly. They are really strict over there and what you can and can't post, and where, and how you word it (I mean, I know a forum has to have rules, but I think it's overkill). And a lot of the moms are REALLY over zealous in their beliefs. Like, if you don't follow what they believe is the correct way of raising kids, then you're just not good enough. Almost like a competiton to see who can be the "crunchiest". At least that is the impression I got. I have tried a few other forums, but I just can't get into them. I love IG!
6/3/00 3/21/02 2/6/04 6/1/06 5/5/09 born unassisted at home, in water Hoping to get pregnant with #6 this year...boy or girl, doesn't matter. I just want another baby! "If left alone in labor, the body of a woman produces most easily the baby that is not interfered with...If left alone, just courage and patience are required" -Grantly Dick-Read, MD "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs" -Thomas Jefferson

LMAO! Those girls came on our site last year and it was the worst thing I have ever seen on here. Actually it was unbelievable! I am infertile but I don't care that you all want a certain gender, that is your choice. When they came on here it was the infertiles vs. the gender wishing people and it was nasty that is for sure! ETA: I think it was called thenest.com back when they came and attacked us.

I ventured over to TheBump one time and read though there forums and then ran for my life!! LOL, I realized really quick that I couldn't ever post there. Some of those women are just cruel and it seems like they are on the look out to attack someone for just about anything. Reminds me of the "Popular Girls" in High School.

LMAO, I'd never heard of the site, so I figured I'd go venture a look. This is the first post I found: "Today was my SIL's big U/S. Her FB status now reads "It's a boy!!!! With a really big penis!!!"
Really? It weirds me out that she is posting about the size of her LO's bits. Maybe I'm just being a prude." And the replies are all "Yes!" "Very tacky!" etc. Soooo judgmental, it is funny sounding, I'll give them that, but it's also hilarious, sounds like something my BIL would post up about his son, so I see what you're saying. =D I'm glad this is the first forum I found after I got preggo, I would have been discouraged with a setting like that.
After 1 loss and a year and a half wait, we've finally been blessed with an amazing little girl. The two loves of my life.

I agree!! I've gone to other forums as well (babycenter, etc.) and yes.. everyone competes to be the best parent. Ugh.. annoying. Just be real people! I am guessing that it's because people that admit to themselves that they have gender dissapointment or desire are more likely to be in touch with reality... parenting isn't always pretty! Plus, we don't want to judge each other for the very dark feelings we can have sometimes reguarding the dissapointment, loss or struggle we go through.
I love In-Gender and even if I get my girl, I want to keep coming here to help others, go to the parenting boards and just stay connected with such wonderful ladies!
