'since i've got my girl, i'd be happy with either.'

Was just doing a quick lurk and had to open this thread as someone said exactly the same thing to me this morning.  She had her girl first and then didn't care at all.. she had just always wanted a girl.  Anyway, she's just had the most beautiful, adorable little boy.  But she is the sweetest, kindest lady I'm sure she just said it how she thought it.  No malice or anti-boy sentiment at all.

lol yep..I think her thoughts will change...maybe she'll have 3 girls and want to eat those words?(not that 3 girls is a bad thing...I wouldn't mind having 3 boys or girls)

LOL Actually I said exactly this.  I was CONVINCED my first child was a girl and was pretty gutted about it as I always wanted a son/s...  It was only when the sons kept coming with no sign of daughters that I got really bad GD!

Personally, I just love kids...  But I have always been desperate for sons over daughters.  If I had to choose one gender or the other (assuming I didn't have the kids I have now - doubt I could make the choice now!) I'd have always chosen for boys even as a child.
