was a crazy and fun night but a heck of a lot of work.... First off, sorry ladies my computer crashed a week ago and it has been a nightmare trying to get on at work. I am using my laptop but it is very moody and crashes at any moment. I can tell you that there has been some benefits to not being online, I have felt not so pressured to make a ttc decision. I had a talk with my hubby and he is not ready to adopt or pursue IVF so we wait and I would be lying if I told you that there isnt a part of me that wishes I would have an OOPs. But I have been using protection, although we all know that has worked for me in the past - LOL.
So, the party. First my best friend came in from LA on Thursday night with her fur baby (and it really is her baby) and we had a nice dinner at home and watched chick tv. Then on Friday we took an early morning walk and then off to the tattoo parlour (seriously!) then hit the errands which included shopping, picking up my adorable nephew and my brother at the airport. Friday night everyone was pooped so I took my brother and his son to our football game which was like an hour away so we got some good catch up time. Saturday am we had a few more errands and then went out to the B&B. Thats when the real fun began. Mindy (my BF) wanted to bring her dog and since he got on so well with mine we brought him too, knowing they were allowed on the property but not in the rooms. Well we get to the Farm (B&B) and within an hour realize the dogs must be on leash because there really is no where to tie them up and get this ,,,,there is roaming fluffy cute chickens. I have a terrier....well he tricked my eldest to getting close to them then managed to get off leash and go after one and grab a hold of a black one, a random worker at the B&B swatted him and my Bruno trots away with a mouth full of black feathers (hilarious). So needless to say this was violation number one. So we put the dogs in the house, trying to hide them from the B&B workers (not my idea, I said the car but my BF would not hear of it). Violation number two. Guests arrive and it just lovely madness, I love big family and friend gatherings. We had some wine and cheese at the farmhouse and that started out nice but turned out that we were in violation again.,..,. no cooking allowed but we had just plugged in some crockpots??? SO I made the call to go over to the location of the party earlier because it has different owners. We had no time to set up but at least they were welcoming and it was just friends and family so we made it work. We had a great dinner and my friends made funny and touching toasts. We laughed and ate, had cake and danced. It was perfect. After the clean up, my BFF, my DH and my two brothers went to the farmhouse and talked and reminissed. That was the best... The rooms were comfy and there was a big bath, my DH and I enjoyed the romantic suite and I took a bath with my newly tattooed foot hanging over the side. The next morning they made us a country breakfast and my DH, kids, parents, siblings, and best friends all ate together. THen many of us went to church together.... Very fun... By the way my tattoo is an Oak Leaf which is our family symbol (Isaiah 61:3) and there are three leaves for my DS and 2 acorns for my babies in heaven.. Thanks for being my IG friends and making 40 (which technically does not happen until the 18th) easier to handle...Love ya MMs
