kristindoggirl:My husband and I both have brown eyes, and according to the laws of genetics that means we should statistically have brown eyed children 3 out of 4 times. But we don't, we actually have 2 blue eyed children and only one brown eyed. This doesn't render the laws of genetics in error just because it didn't happen that way in our family.
This is a great analogy K-dogg!! I think you have hit the nail on the head. There is no way to know for sure about the reliability of swaying on IG, bc the results are skewed by the disproportionate ratio of people swaying one way or the other. I think what some people turn a blind eye to is the fact that if their sway "failed", they blame it on swaying itself, whereas it probably just means they fell into that percentage of people who were meant to get the opposite gender. Like if it truly was a 70% chance of conceiving one gender over another (just making up % bc we will never know....), well, then those people who had a "failed" sway might have actually fallen into the 30% window of error. It is simple to blame on the swaying not working, but hell, even 30% is still a good chance you could end up with an opposite. For those who are comfortable with the idea of either, I think it is still worth a shot to increase the odds. Still 70% (just a % thrown out there) is better than 50%.
BTW, K-dogg, it is so good to see you post again!! I pray your pregnancy continues to go well and you'll be holding your precious healthy baby soon! I was also worried about you and your pregnancy when you took a break. I am off and on here, but please keep everyone updated on how you and your baby are doing!!
