Gender Scans

Who is planning to have private scans and how many weeks will you be? I would love to do a private scan but the only place around here is so darn expensive ($125 just for a basic 10 min 2D scan!).

I'm not sure if I will.  I have a 2D/3D u/s scheduled at the high risk pregnancy office right before i turn 13 wks for NT scan... but I don't know if they plan on going any other u/s after that... I looked into private scans around me and the closest charges a min of $200 for a session. 

I have an elective 2D/3D/4D u/s scheduled for Dec.5th.  I'll be 14w1d.  They do a 20-30 minute session, 20 minute video, cd of all the pictures, and some prints for $90.  I had an u/s at 8 weeks, and I'll have one around 20.  I can't wait that long.

 We'll do one around 15.5-16 weeks. I had an u/s at that point with both of our boys and it was very clear they were boys so I think it's a good time. My hubby's SIL (his oldest brother's wife's) family owns their own medical imaging business. They give us an u/s for free!

OMG you are soooo lucky!!! Can you tell them you found a long lost cousin on IG and can she do an u/s for me too????

I'm thinking of having one Crimbo week as will be 16weeks and think I deserve it , will be my Christmas pressie to myself :)

Think its about £90 for about twenty mins and couple of piccies oh and the important sexing too :)

I would LOVE to have one but haven't made the decision yet.  I am going to talk to my doc when I go in on Friday.  If their regular time for the u/s is 20+ weeks, I will have one done privately.  I found a place around here that does it at 16 weeks (right before Xmas!!!), but I don't see paying the $99 for it, if they are going to do my regular one at the same gestation, or even at 18 weeks. 

You would think as close as I am to DC, that there would be tons of options for this, but sadly they are few and far between

I would have a private scan at 16 weeks in a heartbeat if they were offered here.  The nearest one is over an hour away and they won't touch you without a DRs permission and then only after your anatomy scan at 20 weeks or so. 

 I'm going to have one around January 5th when I'm 15 weeks! I'm so excited!!!

Thats only a few days before mine (Jan 9)!!! With all the chaos of the upcoming Holidays, January will be here before we know it!!!

I hope so! I'm tired of obsessing. It will be so nice to know one way or the other!
