I am totally convinced at 14 weeks that it's a....

Another girl. This will make DD #3 for us. We swayed for a boy, but all arrows are pointing toward this being another girl. First of all, we messed up some aspects of the sway. I timed it out perfectly according to the O tests, but I O'd later than usual, which sent us into the girl zone. Also, my husband's testosterone levels are low, which leans girl and I checked my pH and it initially showed neutralish in one of the at home strip kits, but I checked my urine pH and it showed extremely acidic (I am not sure urine pH is the same as body pH, though). Then at both ultrasounds the heart rate was in the 160's, which looks like a girl, I had horrible nausea just like with my other 2 girls, and the 12 week nub shots looked girly (although I am not sure I even saw a nub). I even had 2 dreams where I gave birth to a boy that turned into a baby girl. I know I sound crazy, but my maternal instincts are shouting girl!!! I am only 14 weeks along and have several to go before I can find out the sex, so I am driving myself crazy! I feel GD coming on and I'm not even sure yet! Anyone else have a high heart rate and whatnot and still have a boy?

From what I've read here, and from many women's experiences, none of what you've posted have been 100% foolproof. Many ladies have been sick with boys, had high heart rates, been acidic... all that. I would say have an elective US if it's really driving you nuts, and don't put too much stock in these sorts of symptoms. :)

My son's h/r was over 160 until after 30 weeks, and the last time we DTD when he was conceived was at least 5 days prior to ovulation. Old wives' tales are just that. Nothing is set in stone. I agree with the PP who said to go for an elective u/s if it's going to drive you nuts. :)

My DS1's heartrate got up to 175! I thought for sure he was a girl! ;) DS2's got up to 160.

Hoping to add a or two to the mix in the future! Love our amazing boys but so ready to experience the "other side" :)

My boy's heartrate was always in the high 150s. We had a 1-2 day cut off too (girl zone). I think there's still a good chance you are pregnant with a boy!

Thanks all!!! I am feeling better reading what you all wrote. What is the absolute earliest you can have an accurate gender ultrasound reading?

My first son had the low heartrate. When I was pregnant with my second I was really hoping he was a girl based off his high (170+) heart rate. It's definitely an OWT though-he's ALL boy! There is still hope!

My baby's heartbeat was in the 160's, had morning sickness and I'm having a boy. It's just an Old Wive's Tale that has no scientific proof, so don't follow that. As far as symptoms are concerned, everyone's are different whether it is a boy or girl, so again, OWT. It gets me down and sad that some women either use these to cling to a small hope that the baby is their desired gender, or reading into them and getting themselves all worked up. I just wish that more people would realize that there is nothing to these Tales. Of course, sometimes some will be "true" but that's only coincidence. No matter what our symptoms, heartbeat, etc are, there is always that same 50/50 chance for a boy or girl. I know it's hard, but please don't place too much on these things. Wait until your ultrasound and then you can either celebrate or work through your feelings. I hope you hear blue!!

16 weeks would be my recommendation. I had two different OB techs tell me 70% girl with my second daughter and 99% boy with my son at 14 weeks, but even with my son I second-guessed it because I was afraid it was too early to be sure. If I'd been doing elective scans, I would have wanted to wait longer - the lingering feelings of doubt over those 14-week predictions were worse for me than not knowing anything at all.

My boy's heartrate at 13 weeks was 168.
My husband's testosterone rate is lowere than average. ALthough still in the normal range.
My son was concieved 4 days before O confirmed at a 6 week ultrasound. My days and it's days matched to the day.
I had a dream he was a she.

I would wait until 18 weeks so there would be no doubts, but I was told boy at a 16 week scan and confirmed it at a 18 week scan too.
