is anyone having a little coke

im 34 weeks lately ive been having some coke I only allow my self one small bottle a day so equilvlent to 2 cups or maybe a cup and a half is anyone else doing this I dont drink coffee seldom hot chocalte I dont eat choc I dont really have any other caffinee is anyone else having it and then most of the day in between I drink just pure water venteild do you think it is ok and know large doses arent the best but would 1 and a half cups be ok I only have a couple of mouthfuls throughout the day gives me a little energy what is everyone else doing

LMAO! I woulda sworn when I first opened this thread it said something about smoke coke... I actually have at least 1 soda a day.. terrible I know, but so far no defects or problems have been found in humans due to caffine, just mice and stuff. I think we've been drinking the stuff for so long we have a high tolerance for it.

 i have a coke or pepsi everyday.

  I wouldn't worry about drinking a coke here and there. Through my daughters entire pregnancy I drank pop and coffee and she's 100% healthy. I also was forced to keep up on my water thanks to my mom.

This pregnancy I drank tons of soda at the beginning, couldn't get myself to drink water (hate it) but now the soda tastes too thick if I drink it a lot so I'm finally hooked on water (it has to be bottles...) and I have a soda here and there. I love coke. The strong cold taste...mmm. I also drink quite a bit of coffee..but not 6+ cans of soda a day, which means I've definitely lowered my caffine intake, on top of drinking tons of water...so I'm proud of myself

i have at least 4 cans of DIET coke everyday xx

I am guilty- I believe that 200mg of caffeine a day is the limit. I think coke has 35mg or so....yeah I have had it here or there, my babies seemed fine. I had to have it when working, not a coffee drinker.

Now is there such a thing as caffeine free Dr. Pepper and Coke, Pepsi. It seems every caffeine free drink is also diet and you can taste that aspartame(sp) taste. Why can't they just take the caffeine out or does it actually affect taste?? That is my burning question.

Im am guilty too!  I wouldn't say Im craving it,  but Ive taking a liking for Irn Bru

The majority of people probably wont know what irn bru is...it's a good old scottish fizzy drink

I drank coke with all three of DD's infact for the first 12 weeks of my last DD I used to open my eyes feel sick and drink a pink of coke with a spoon on sugar in it !!!

My midwife actually told me to do this for Morning sickness and it did work a little it was pretty much all I survived on that and ice pops .

I was admitted to hospital with sickness and still kept on with my coke and sugar and the nurses just laughed and said if it works carry on .

My DD is now 18mths and no problems with her :)
