I really did not look into SIRM....not for any particular reason.  I really just looked in the immediate KC area, and when I discovered that we would have to travel somewhere either way, we opted for NY because my husband has an office there, and we were familiar with NYC.  I didn't mean to make it sound like there was a particular reason why I didn't consider SIRM.  I think there are some women on here who have cycled at SIRM - hopefully they can give you some insight.  Good luck!  I know it's a big decision, and there's so much to consider!

I live in Springfield and was thinking of going to SIRM. What have you heard about them?
They are a fantastic clinic.  I will be going to SIRM Las Vegas but not for GS.  The one in St. Louis has a fantastic doctor and seems to have alot of success.

Andrea- thanks for letting me know about the clinics I'd listed. That will save me a lot of time. Guess that leaves SIRM and any other facilities I can find.

We're smack dab in between Springfield and KC in MO. It's nice to see other women so close that are/have considered PGD for GS!

i would use SART.org and CDC.org clinic success rate data to narrow your search for a clinic.

i would call clinics and ask if they possibly perform family balancing.

note that Microsort collaborator clinics may have low success rates in comparison to other fertility clinics in your state.

if you're able to only use PGD (if you are likely to create enough embryos to yield normal embryos of the desired gender even without trying MS), you could use a clinic with notably higher success rates.

Why is that?
