My DH and I are doing egs/su/tbm. We are waiting for our incubator to come in, so we have been practicing with the microscope, eggwhites, ph, etc...until we can do a full test runs. Today I decided to add some lime to his sample. We check the sperm in microscope first and there were millions, swimming like crazy. Starting ph of semen- 7.80 (digital) lime ph- 1.89. So I used warm lime juice (roughly room temp) and slowly added a drop or two then checked ph. I ended up with 6 drops of lime which brought the ph to 4.25. I let it sit about 5 minutes and then we checked in microscope.....nothing....tried different samples from the same splime and still nothing. Are they all just frozen...or competely dead? Didnt' see anything black... Wow, it would be so hard to get pregant doing that, I can't imagine how adding SU will make his sample.
