Any input is appreciated!

RE recommendations there? How did the coordination go between your local doc and the RE there? How long from initial consult until cycle.....we are looking at April, May or early June.

Would you do it again?

We are somewhere in the middle between GIVF and HRC, but GIVF is more "convenient" b/c of friends/family in the DC area.

Thanks in advance!

Plan A - MS/IVF/PGD planned for March with Dr. Potter @ HRC for another Baby Girl - I cancelled. Just doesn't feel right.

Plan B - foster/adopt our little princess! Ugh - was told there is NO NEED in our area so we can't be licensed

Plan C - still working on this one......

Hi Patience - I cycled at GIVF 3 times, with the last one being successful. Since I live close by, I didn't collaborate with anyone outside of GIVF and did everything (ER, ET, monitoring, etc.) "in house." I highly recommend GIVF, especially Dr. Lincoln, but also all of the staff, nurses, etc. There was virtually no wait time - after the consult, I started right away. Please feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. Good Luck Clover

I really liked Dr. Kultresha and Dr. Lincoln-- you could not go wrong with either one.  Like Ashgirl I did everything on site at GIVF too.

Good Luck to you!

I have done two iui cycles at GIVF.  The first, two years ago didn't require a doc and went very smoothly but ended in m/c.  The second in August I was on injectibles and was assigned to Dr. Jones.  Although very polite, he never could remember who I was or what exactly was going on durig my cycle.  The communication between my local RE and GIVF was very difficult.  I was on the phone several times a week, sometimes day clarifying details and asking if lab work and  u/ss were sent or recieved.   I can't really complain too much because I did get pregnant but it took alot of effort on my part to make it happen. However, if you are doing an IVF cycle, you will be dealing with an entirely different group of Docs and nurses and may have a completely different experience.  Goodluck!

How long were you at GIVF or IVF?  If I did MS/IVF/PGD how long are you in VA?  I think I saw a post from Dr. Potter saying that with Mini IVF....it was 18-20 days?  It's where they only defrost 4 eggs at a time and then fertilize.  Is Dr. Jones good for IVF?  I used him for my IUI's, but not so sure about him.

I know when I was researching IVF, I was told I would have to be there about a week, maybe a few days longer.  I don't know if Dr. Jones does IVF or not.  When I was planning on doing IVF, Dr. Kultresha would have been my doc.
