Had another u/s today and the doc said...

"It's a girl!"  Now to explain how this all came about...  Went in for OB visit and he asked if I was still having nausea and sore boobs.  Said it sounded like all was good and wanted to take a peak and see how baby was progressing (I was grateful that I didn't have to beg to have another u/s done today).  The u/s tech started and I got to see how much my bean has grown... she showed me the heart and we got to watch him/her wiggle around.  Shortly after she switched on the sound, the doc walked into the room.  He took a look at the monitor and said, "It's a girl!" My eyes got huge and I said, "What!?" Then u/s tech laughed and said don't listen to him...his response was "Hey, I've got a 50/50 chance of being right and based on the HR(180), it could be a girl according to the old wives tale."

I hope the OWT is true for you.  You have been through so much and I am so glad to hear your little one is healthy :)

Oh I am sooo happy for you that everything is looking good!!! I do believe in the HB thing as my little girl's HB was around 180 at 9w and I remember DS's was more like 160.  So I am a believer!!!! Looking forward to seeing a nub scan in 2-3 weeks!!!  I also want to ask you- I looked at your FF chart just now and you got pg from an O+12 and you already had a temp rise?? That is pretty amazing as Tamara has always said that is usually too late to catch the egg.  The fact that you got pg with an O+12 with abstaining makes me truly believe you have a princess in there!!!

 I'm so glad to hear your little one is healthy and looking great!! Hopefully the OWT is very true for you! =)

This was an odd cycle for me...  I was temping and using the cue II as well.  According to the cue II, I had a drop in vj reading on CD26 which indicated O was occuring so it could have been that I was Oing early that morning and that may be why I got a temp spike on FF and since we BD'd the night of CD26 I was most likely still in the O+12 - O+20 time frame.

How are you standing on the H1N shot? I know you are in healthcare and also pregnant now. Are you going to get the shot even if you are in the first trim?

I'm still very hesitant about getting it while still in the first trimester, but according to both my family doc and OB says that I need to take it whenever I get the opportunity to.  Fortunately, the hospital has been waiting on their shipment and my doc's and OB's office do not currently have any in supply.  If it does come available for me prior to 12 wks, I will most likely take it because I think the benefits outweight the risks. 

Aw!  Love the picture!  And I think I need to steal your doctor - I love a doc with a sense of humor!  My last one had one, and I miss him terribly!  I will never forget him after I was complaining about getting headaches with my first child, he stopped - looked at me - and shook my hands and said, congratulations, you're pregnant.  I know that would piss some people off, but it totally works with me   It makes me feel so much more relaxed!

How exciting to get to see your bean again!!  I have a nosey OB!  LOL!!  He has his own u/s machine (outdated of course by todays standards) and he uses it on me every time I'm in there because he wants to see how the baby is growing.

I'm going to see my bean today as well.  Have to go in to check to see if my bleed has gotten smaller!!
