Kelchay, I was wondering about you too, where you went.  Congratulations...if you think boy then maybe you'll be extra surprised if they say girl.   What kind of timing did you end up having or you may not know which is just fine.  What's your due date?  So excited for you! Annika

I don't think that you are going crazy!  I would probably be doing the exact same thing..... I wish that I knew more about how to read an ultrasound but whatever I would say would be a pure guess..... BUT if I had to guess....... I am would say GIRL!!!!!

I don't think that you are going crazy!  I would probably be doing the exact same thing..... I wish that I had some thoughts on the ultrasound but it would just be a guess..... so I am going to say GIRL!!!!!

Insane?  No way, you worked soooo hard to get pg with a girl of course you are going to be obsessed over whether or not it truly is a girl.  I have been reading through the gender predicition board enough to know that you truly are not alone..... if I ever get a BFP you will have to be doing the same for me....

I guess that this depends on what you mean when you say you really don't have.  If it meant that my kids would go without something for Christmas then I probably would not but if it was meant for my or DH then I probably would be more willing to dish it out....

See I am sort of different in that I think that I would not want to go with the scan(especially if I did not have the money) just so I could continue thinking that there is a chance that it could be  a girl.....  once you get the scan and you hear the gender then that is it there is no going back......KWIM?

What does DH think about getting the scan?

rachel, is $99 the cheapest you can find? Keep looking. I'm not sure a 15 week scan is going to give you a definitive answer since your little nub is ambiguous. I have a crazy idea. How about CVS or amnio? then you know 100% and it's covered by insurance. just a thought. I think those procedures are a bit invasive, but generally considered safe and results are 100% for gender.

I think you could do the scan instead of christmas presents for yourself, but I think you could find a cheaper one. Those ultrasound places are all over in my city. You might have to drive out to a bigger city to find a cheaper one?

 I also agree with what Boo said.

 PD- on the first page, you can change my due date to mid-may (for twins it's 37 weeks) and I didn't do EGS, no sway. I think Hopeful2009 didn't do EGS either, but did sway.

Wow Huge congrats Kelchay. Its so nice to have some lovely news, thats brilliant well done you. Also , thats so sweet that your DH said that was the best present he could ever get on his birthday!! Ahh. rachel- I will be i promise you, as, if not more insane than you at the stage you are right now. That i promise you. BB- I really don't have the money. Unfortunatley I also really don't have a sane mind right now and am drivng myself INSANE!!! It is all I think about, dream about and really I am getting horrible sleep because of it. I feel exhausted and I need an answer. 

Nicole- I think I will wait till 16 weeks if I can. I am going to look in the phone book right now. So far on-line the only places that come up are in the city next to us and they are all around 100$. I found one for 75$ but it doesn't come with a video, and I really want the video, since you get better images on the video.

 Ok, so I just scheduled it!! !5 wk 3 day..that is as far as I can go. My husband can only do it on the weekends and I wasn't willing to wait another weekend. So the date is Nov 28th at 10:30am. I feel much better already. Lets pary that I believe the U/S tech and this actually does give me some relief.

Oh wow, well done sweetie. I'm going to put that date on my calender so i can pray for you all day. Which will be whilst you sleep on the night of the 27th...well, at least trying to sleep. xx

Oh good Rachel, I really think a private place will give you a better picture than your docs office. OK, so now we wait. This is like another two week wait!!! My 12 week scan is on the 23rd so you can obsess with me the days before your appt.

Just thought I would let my fellow experimenters know that my attempt is coming up this weekend and low and behold A PROBLEM!!!!  If you havent seen my other threads...well.....my ph is toooooooooooooo lowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.  In the 3's!!!!!  So, now I am just thinking this month might be a loss for me, but I am still going to try!!  I was told to take coral calcium, but I think I am just going to take the calcium that I was originally taking before I switched a few weeks ago because my ph was fine before that!!  I also think I am going to douche with vinegar/water because it raises my ph verses lowering it, but only a little.  I just need my ph to go over 4!!!!!  Ahhhh!! I hope the closer I get to O, my ph jumps up a bit!!  I will douche, do SU then 5 mins after IF and I mean IF my ph shoots miraculously over 5, then I will douche 1 ml of lime/water and check the remainder of the fours hours with that plan!!  I hope this works out!!  Already feeling doubtful, but I am going give it a try anyways!!!  IDK, weird things happen, so maybe things will flip in my favor!!
