f.r.o.g.:
I think if swaying worked for you - we tend to believe, if it did not - you dont believe.

On this note, I just want to say that my first u/s was wrong and I thought I was expecting DD #3 despite a pretty great sway. I was disappointed of course, but when someone posted they think it's 'dumb luck' meaning that people who sway are 'dumb' enough to believe in it, I really took offense to that. I didn't stop believing in swaying just because it didn't work for me. The fact is, I know enough people who it DID work for that even if it didn't work for me, it doesn't mean it doesn't work, it just means I feel into that 20-30% of people (or whatever you think the percentage is) who it didn't make enough of a difference for. So, I guess I just want it to be clear that some people still believe in swaying as a concept even if it didn't work for them. Obviously, my first u/s was wrong and I can now say that swaying did 'work' for me twice.

I totally agree with this. I've looked at the research, and I think that swaying works. But I don't think it works 100% of the time, and some people are going to end up in the 20-30+% who it doesn't work for no matter how perfect their sway was. If swaying works for me and I get another girl, I'll think it works, and if it doesn't work for me, and I get a boy, I'll still think it works.

I still feel that it is 50/50 everytime.

I think that's really interesting coming from someone who has 4 of the same gender. (I'm not saying this in a snarky way!) When I see people with that many of the same gender, I would assume that your odds are NOT 50/50, but rather you are predisposed to have boys. That's how I felt about DH & myself after having 2 girls - our odds on our own were that we were more likely to produce another girl. Even if swaying only normed us back to 50/50 or 60/40 or whatever, that was still a 'win' because without swaying, I was MORE than 50% likely to have another girl. IDK, that's just my opinion, of course.

I still feel that everytime I get pregnant that my odds are even for either sex.  As I know alot of people in real life that after two or three boys get a girl erent  or Have girls and get a boy. I think it is a matter of what you are meant to have no matter what. I know this is a big subject and if you believe is it that is great. I  am just answering the question in relation to my life and that I would never put everthing on the line that swaying works.   I really happy  for thoses that think it does and I hope it works for them. But there will always be two sides. Maybe if the last one was a girl for me I might feel different. Congrats on your boy.

I have written another thread about the 7 factors wheather they are to much for some women and cause Ph spikes. I read somewhere that Ph can change between pregnancies and maybe some women have sensitive bodies and just a simple glass of cranberry juice can shift her Ph into girl friendly and some women may need all 7 factors plus more to shift their Ph. I think its a game of trial and error. I plan to sway over a number of months and find what works for me. Swaying isn't for everyone. But it is a little shread of hope for having a DD. I have noticed that I am the take away queen and it is no wonder why i concieved all boys. So maybe the girl diet will work for me.
