What if I take Clomid later in my cycle?

I saw a dr about infertility yesterday.  He's going to do some tests on me and dh and then will probably put me on Clomid.  The problem is this will all take quite a bit of time.  I'm thinking of getting some Clomid on my own and trying this cycle.  The problem is that it may take awhile for me to get it.  What if I can't start it until day 7or so?  Does anyone know what that does?

If I were you, I would wait until the dr can monitor you...especially if you've never taken it before (you won't know how your body will respond to it).  If you start taking it that late, it will mess up when you O & the length of your lp. 

I would suggest not taking clomid while you are going through these tests or they may change the drs findings.  Also, clomid use (especially the first month) needs to be monitored by a dr to avoid OHSS.
